I was one of the few holdouts who believed that prtyplanner wasn't
chop. I didn't want to believe it, I couldn't believe it.
Now, though, as much as it pains and sickens me to say it, I'm 110%
convinced. I can't offer you proof, just the fact that it convinced
me. And if it convinced me, hopefully it's enough for the rest of you.
If you don't believe me, then at least think about this and how much
you really know some people.

Eh, not that it really matters in the end either way, but the "just
trust me" line is always a little iffy in my book. If you want to
keep something hidden, there's generally a reason for that. This
whole declaration is a little off, but again, it doesn't make a bit of
difference to the situation I guess.
So it's Chop and she has several of our names/info. We all got lax
about personal information within a group that we 'trusted'.

people who believe it is a pretty good cross section of NEYers, people
who love Chop, people who could take her or leave her, people who
butted heads with her, but who have ethical problems with posting

I think the amount of randoms that showed up during the Help Bethie
Postathon shows that NEY gets a lot of traffic, even on a Friday night
when it's usually slow. The Knot wouldn't be stupid enough to take down
something they can show to advertisers as proof of high traffic to their
site.
And during the postathon, when I had the IP tracker in my sig briefly,
the sheer number of random people that opened my posts (when most people
probably weren't opening anything) was mind blowing. NEY has WAY more
lurkers than I ever realized.

OK, that is just so pathetically funny. Out of all the people to have
their PW be PASSWORD, you aren't a likely candidate. You were so
convinced that your pics and stuff were mostly safe, therefore one
would think that your PW would be pretty strong.

other independent person that is partyplr also using PASSWORD as their

um, ok so don't? it doesn't really matter to me, i find it funny. i
have used password on all of my knot accounts. sure it's easy to
guess but you would need to know my email address that i used to sign
up with so the password does no good. it could be 123456 and you
still wouldn't be able to get into my account.

mashed, i don't know. considering password is probably common? i
don't know. it's funny to me.
again, i'm not out to convince anyone. if i was guilty of the crime i
am not sure how i would handle it but i would guess i wouldn't be
sharing any info about it, but in the meantime i'd like to try and
have my name cleared. if i can't i can't. so be it. the world won't
end.

I'm an intellectual reject when it comes to the internet, and I would
NEVER choose PASSWORD as my password, seems so infinitely hackable.

password was 'password' and not something else. and then get a screen
shot? i mean youve already changed your password, so i dont see that

I also don't get how you guys telling us this if it was the evidence
you had let personal info out. All you had to say was "Chop and Party
had the same PW"

The KG put her ass on the line revealing it. Her ass is STILL on the
line with chop posting it, which is why it was kept secret to protect
her job. Since chop's gone and spilled the beans without a second
thought about who she might be affecting, I'm doubly sure we did the
right thing in keeping it under wraps.

Oh, I didn't even believe that the connection was in the password.
I'm thinking whether the pw was password or not doesn't change the
fact that odds are pretty slim that they would match. (knot pws are
case sensitive too, correct?)

I think Moo should show her hand. NEY has been "put up or shut up"

Isn't there any way of offering HOW you came to this conclusion
without devulging the personal info? The secrecy of how you came to
