I would ask this on H&F, but I know yall will give it to me straight. Can someone with absolutely no coordination and no dancing whatsoever really get it? Will I even have a good time or will be to worried about getting the moves and everyone watching me?
I really want to try it out, there's a place nearby that's only 5 a class, which isnt bad. I can go to UWFs gym, but Im just not feeling it and they dont offer it anyways. I always feel so out of place at UWFs gym. Zumba people seem like my kind of people, but I dont know if I can do it.
Re: Zumba
I did it twice.
I hated it both times.
The second time I fell down & twisted my ankle.
Don't listen to ClaireDunphy. I hate new people on the board.
Zumba ROCKS, but it totally depends on the instructor IME. Jenhappy took me to a place in April that has awesome instructors and I've basically been going at least three times a week since then. I have zero coordination and no dance skillz. Honestly I was not a fan the first three or so times. I'm not sure why I stuck with it. But once you get the basic moves, you start to enjoy it. At least I did.
I should've added that I'm pretty much the only person I know that hates it.
They do it at Dreamland Skate Center on Olive. A couple of other places too, but that's where Im looking.

Me too!
Dude, I want to go skating now!
I could walk there from my house... so cocktails after Zumba anyone? lol
lol! perfect!
Apparently I'm giving Zumba another shot on Saturday with LB.
jodi, just comfortable clothes you would wear to any workout. Sometimes you get whackadoos who wear the bellydancing jingle belt things, or cargo pants with the tassles all over that swing around... but most ppl are normal. haha
Claire -- WOOPWOOP!
Sweatpants and a t-shirt? That's what I would be rocking.
Please don't laugh at my uncoordinated white ass.
Zumba is Tuesdays and Thursday nights, but I cant do Thursdays for the next 6 weeks. Its at 6pm.
We can also opt to do a Girls night out type thing with just us and it would only $10.
I would do this. Only make a backside of myself in front of three people instead of 20. lol
I can do either night.
I will go tomorrow. That means I can take tonight off. lol 6:00, right? Want to meet there a little earlier?
