H and I were released from the hospital a little while ago. I was never started on pitocin because apparently I have been having a ton of contractions that I wasn't even feeling, or noticing them as contractions. Now that I know what a contraction is, I can tell I have been having them. It is so weird. Anyways I was only dilated 1cm after the cervidil and they did not want to insert another one because I was having so many contractions. After a ton of walking, bouncing on an excercise ball, etc. I was still not dilated any more than before. My doctor said I should go home and come back if I go into labor. I know it is the right thing to do but it is so disappointing. The babies are very healthy and are having no problems, so another week inside would be fine for them and better for my delivery. She is trying to avoid a c-section, which I appreciate. But it is still a huge bummer!! If nothing happens by Monday, I go back in to get my cervix checked again and to schedule round #2.
So PLEASE hope/wish/pray that my water breaks or my contractions get stronger, or something! H and I want to have these babies!!!

Oh no! I'm disappointed for you! I'm surprised they changed their minds. I thought this was it! Isnt funny that you didnt even know what contractions felt like until you are being monitored??
I hope things progress for you quickly from here on out!
It worked for me! My water broke within a few hours of doing both.
Well, it is a beautiful day for walking and walking and walking and walking. Y'know, after that other stuff.
Sorry, though. I can't even imagine how disappointing that must be after you get yourself all psyched up and "ready."
My silly Lily is almost 4.
Wishing the best for you - having a vaginal birth would be much better on the recovery side... but I bet you are totally itching to see your babies.

This didn't work for me. Nor did walking, eating pineapple, or any of the other things they recommend (the only thing I refused to do was Castor Oil). I hope that your labor starts soon on its own and that it is short, painless, and goes very very smoothly! You deserve all of that and more after carrying twins for 38 weeks!
