When I woke up my work was closed because the power was out there. I ran into the bedroom and did the happy dance (H did it to me yesterday when he had a snowday), by the time I got back to my living room they had restored power. Booo.
Anyone else dealing with this nasty ice storm?

PAIF/SAIF welcome!
Don't worry, Britt- I'll sit at home for you today
We're on day 2 of no school. Roads are horrific. Rolling blackouts to conserve power (we haven't been hit yet, but it seems we're the only ones). Not expecting anything to melt until Friday evening. But the snow I've seen from friends and family up north is crazy!
I guess they can cancel as many days as they want... my time off this summer will start regardless:)

we were supposed to get slammed here. we got MAYBE 5-6 inches (the norm) and a nice coating of sleet/ice and now we're just getting probably an inch or two through the day on top of it. everything was called off except the University where i work. they NEVER call off.
the roads are hell because they're always hell (aka they're doing nothing about them) , but nothing i couldn't handle in a honda civic.

we're up to about 14" from the past 2 days and now its freezing rain-ing. the roads have been awful both days. my company didn't close yesterday or today.
and to top it off, we're just about out of oil and the oil truck hasn't been able to make it up our hill yesterday or today... sooo we have to wait until tomorrow. awesome.
We cant catch a break in NY - 50+ inches in a month
It has been snowing/ hailing / sleeting since yesterday morning!!!!
We had a little break and then was bad overnight.
Huge sheets of ice this morning, horrible drive to work!
57.7 inches and another storm coming in on Sat
<sigh>
I wish we would get SOMETHING. We haven't had any new snow since December. The mountains are seriously hurting. We were supposed to have an awesome winter.
