They must come in two's. ;)

So, I have a funny story, too.

I'm pregnant.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!

I'm still in shock!!

First, yes I'm seriously posting this at nearly 3am. We traveled home today as planned due to my grandma's situation and we didn't get here until almost 1am, so I'm still up. And exhausted.

Here's the deal though...

I was supposed to start my period on Saturday and I *thought* that I did. I started spotting late Saturday night and have had, what I thought was, a light period on Sunday, Monday and yesterday. There was barely anything on the pad, but a lot when I would wipe {sorry if that's TMI-ish}

Anyway, so I was bummed and ready to move on to cycle five.

But... my temp was still up some this morning. I really didn't think anything of it and just blamed it on my temp always being a bit wonky the week of my period. So, I went about my day like I normally do.

Around 3pm or so, I decided to take a shower and start getting ready to travel. On a whim, I thought about that whole using an OPK to confirm a pregnancy thing and seeing as how I have a drawer full of IC OPK's, I decided to waste one and see what happened. It only took a couple of minutes for it to come up completely positive. I was out of IC HPT's, but I did have one digital... and I didn't really want to waste it. But curiosity got the better of me.

Honestly, I didn't even have my hopes up... I was not trusting the OPK at all. So, I dipped the digital, walked away, folded some laundry and put it away. I came back in the bathroom about 10 minutes later to get in the shower and I walked over to the test fully prepared to just trash it. But it said pregnant.

I screamed "SHUT UP!" and then looked at my cat and asked him, "Seriously?!"... he flopped over for a belly rub like he did something good.

DH was leaving work around 4:30, so I waited it out until he got home to tell him. I decided to take a couple of pics with my DSLR of the test. When he got home, I waited a few minutes and then said "Oh, hey, I got the most AMAZING shot today - seriously, it's the best photo I've ever taken!" and he totally thought it was another photo of the cats (I show him those daily)... but it was the pic of the test.

He didn't get it. He starred at it for two minutes and then looked at me and said "Really?" - he was confused, too, because he knew that I had my period.

So, I'm being cautiously optimistic. I'm still spotting ever so lightly. I called my doctor and have an appointment on March 2nd.

Also, I couldn't stand the excitement and we told my parents as soon as we got home (with the same lame photo thing that I did to hubs)

I'm telling my sister tomorrow (in her birthday card, it says "PS - you're gonna be an Aunt!) and also telling my niece. We're waiting to tell everyone else.

And of course, the usual "don't mention it on FB" thing applies.

WOW... sorry for the novel.

I'm exhausted, going to bed. Any and all good thoughts, sticky vibes, prayers, etc are extremely appreciated.

<3
