Re: FFFC/AWF

  • I'm glad I'm at work - I was going stir crazy in the house - but if the city can't clear the streets properly, why make people try to get out in this? The streets suck - people still getting stuck, accidents, I slid a couple of times...I'm so over this. I barely got out of my apartment complex because they don't plow [don't want to be held liable in case something happens], so we always have to wait until it melts. My neighbor and I cleared the sidewalks and put salt down, but that didn't help the rest of the lot. Ugh.

As a side note though, I did lose some weight this week, even though I was stuck inside and ate horribly. :P

  • FFFC: My birthday is on Monday and I'm sorta bummed about it.  26 isn't an exciting birthday.  I want a night of sushi and drinks with the hubby, but I don't want to get a sitter and I don't want to ask the 'rents. B hasn't been feeling great this week and I need to sit my butt at home.

AWF: Carpet's going in upstairs today.

  • AW: H took me out to the northside Rococo last night, because I had "been a good wife" and deserved some time out of the house in the middle of my "snocation." It was yummy. Then we entertained a store clerk at a liquor store. He was funny.

FFC: I accosted a man on a different message board that I visit for people in OKC. He is...a little strange. I'll just say that. Whenever we're going to get any kind of weather catastrophe, he flips out and gets all doomsdayish, and delights in the fact that others are inconvenienced or worse. I called him out on that and said that if he lost power, he would be on the board, whining about how his precious fish tank froze and all his fish died. For some reason, this didn't set well with some others, and they jumped all over me.

Ooooh I got insulted on the internet lol. Truth is, though, I'm right. He would whine and cry about fish while other people freeze, or fall off bridges to their icy deaths in the river below. Boo hoo. I just thought someone needed to say that.

  • It annoys me when people ask if they should leave their wedding set at home while on vacation.  WTF?  I always want to ask the incredibly tacky question "How big IS your ring, if you are so worried that someone is going to want to steal it?" Let's face it, if you are going to Europe, most women over there wear underwear that cost more than some people's wedding sets. Anyway, I think that is retarded.

The only reason I would think about leaving mine is because I am incredibly clumsy and have literally broken my ring not once, not twice, but three times. AND I lost the original stone. Maybe it's less about it getting stolen but more about it being lost/misplaced?

Wait...four times. Three different places. I never even wear it at home, in an effort to protect it from myself!

  • AW: I have my taxed 99% ready for our accountant; calling today to make the appointment.

FFWC: We have not had AT&T cell service since Monday night. There is a tower down in my area; everyone in town is bitching about it; no one realizes its not something that can be fixed in 5 minutes and with the shitty weather it is prolonging it! Someone even started a freaking FB page to protest against AT&T! I want to write on the page that going on strike is not going to change things! Yeah I am upset but I also know that it happens and given the weather I am a little more understanding as to why its not fixed yet.

I really freaking hate the snow and winter in general.

I plan on getting my wedding dress down ASAP and selling it on CL. It was a really pretty dress and all, but it was huge and takes up a LOT of space, even in a box. I plan on buying myself something pretty with what I make off of it.

I fully intend on getting my boobs done.

    AWF:

My birthday is tomorrow. :) The kids are going to my parent's so I can go out! The weather better cooperate!

No judgement here at all. I told my friends this summer that if DH decides he wants us to have a child then he has to agree to a mommy makeover after I give birth.

I'm vain.  And I am okay with that.

  • I am annoyed with my DH being so cheap all of a sudden.  I understand we have a lot of big plans this year but Christ!!  Its our fifth anniversary and we have been through A LOT especially in the last two years. I want to live it up baby and I am talking the St. Regis.  We aren't seeing eye to eye and I nearly threw a huge fit about it last night but I did the mature thing and walked away.  He is at me again today (through email) and I want to punch my computer screen.

No judgment here. I have always told DH that after know we are done with kids that I am getting the girls put back where they need to be. Right now when I lay down they fall into my armpits. Yay not liking that too much.

FFFC: I could have probably made it into work today but I've loved being home with M the past couple of days. I told her last night that She was going to go see Miss Kari tomorrow and that Momma had to go back go work and she told me No. It made me feel so guilty that I decided to stay home today.

  • Even I I never have kids, the boobs are getting surgically lifted to go back where they belong. Hopefully sooner than later so I can enjoy them. ETA: If you're my FB friend, my "22,28" status yesterday was about this. Gravity's affect on my boobs is on my mind lately.

My work opened at 10 today. I fully planned on going in, but woke up, saw that it was snowing again and texted my boss that I wasn't coming in. I have some guilt, but didn't really feel like driving all that way (80 miles round trip) in the snow for a shortened shift anyway.

ETA again, because I'm bored and talkative:

I just scrounged up some batteries from the TV remotes to put in the scale, becasue I was SO SURE I had lost a few pounds. Nope.

Last night, I tipsily agreed to go on a date with a dude I don't think I like "like that". I'm dating someone else, albeit not seriously. I'm like the girl who can't say no.
  • I'm another one who plans on getting my boobs done when we're through having kids. H mentioned it after we had JJ, but we haven't really talked about it since...it may be time to bring that convo up again.

Well, many countries in Europe have an income level reaching below ?2000 a month so I doubt their underwear are more than rings BUT I get your point. I think that there is a misconception that their rings will be stolen by thieves.

In saying that... I never take my ring off but a lot of women do. Maybe they just want to make sure they don't lose it?

  • FFFC:  I have regularly been eating Nutella on toast as part of my breakfast (for all you P&CE lurkers).

AWF:  I have lost about 9 lbs since Halloween (Nutella and all)!  I credit mainly giving up regular soda (still doing diet sometimes but trying to cut it back to very occasionally) and just getting up off my butt to exercise for about 30 minutes 3-5 days a week (Wii Fit and recumbent bike).

  • I am more than a little upset that the roads are still crap. We left yesterday to get a few supplies and it took us 30 minutes to reach the Homeland which is 5 miles away!

I completely understand that plowing is a huge job but it is ridiculous that we are expected to drive and the roads are not prepared for our safety.

Me too! Me too! I eat it almost every day!

  • Yesterday I slept from 2am until 3pm (with 2, 15 minute breaks in there to let the dog out, let him in, and go immediately back to sleep) and then last night climbed back into bed at 9pm, watched Bones until midnight, and just now woke up (12:30.)

Left to my own devices, this is a normal sleep pattern for me (it has been ever since I was a little girl, and, yes, DH the nurse has had me get a full medical work-up to make sure I don't have some bizarre thyroid condition or something.)

Therein lies almost my entire reluctance to have a child...

  • Here's another one: I have yet to try Nutella. I'm not a "try new things" type of person. I tend to stay in my comfort zone. I guess I need to try it since I know so many people who love it.

  • FFFC: I could see myself BFing longer than originally planned just because I love the way my boobs look.  They are freaking HUGE and HEAVY but they are also perfectly round and super perky without a bra.  ;)

AW:  DH did our taxes last night and while I am annoyed that we are getting such a large refund I am also releived since we had to pay so much last year.  I really wish our refund would have been under the $500 mark but I am dreaming about taking a weekend trip somewhere fun with the refund....  In all reality the money will just go to the bank.

  • I have to work until 10 p.m. tonight at a pageant rehearsal and a half day tomorrow at the actual pageant. I hate pageants, and I hate working extra hours on something I'm just not pumped about. I just want to stay home in my pjs reading Catching Fire. I may bring it with me and read it backstage.

  • The only side effect of being pregnant so far has been bigger boobs. I'm cool with that.
  • I've never had Nutella.

I fell into a pond while cutting ice for the cattle, yesterday. I thought, for about 5 seconds, that I was going to die.

My H and I eat like kids because I "don't know" how to cook. I think it's more along the lines of I don't know what to cook instead of I don't know how.

    1. I love my husband. I do. But we were not meant to spend this much time together snowed in. I've got to go somewhere alone tomorrow so I don't strangle the man. What makes this flameful is that he has been so great...cleaning, shoveling, etc. I'm just in a pissy mood.

    2. I wish other people's pregnancy announcements didn't sting. I don't want to feel sad after hearing their good news.

AWF: I'm really shocked I haven't gained any weight the way I've been eating and drinking lately.  Yay for good metabolism genes.
