I was going to post a "O HAI" thread to announce my, 'sort of' return.

Things have been crazy work wise for me so I haven't been posting at all. I think I've gotten things back to a manageable level so I'll be here more.

What did I miss?

I am DYING! There are streams of tears rolling down my cheeks right now.

More than once I had to cover my mouth with my hands. I want burst out with jolly, loud, raucous laughter. This *** is priceless. You cannot make this *** up.

I love how witty everyone is on this board. I think that's probably why I love the drama so much. You can't really flex your quips when you're talking about getting knocked up or discussing what to wear.

As a whole, you guys are ssooooo funny. I you all.

I have to go back and finish this thread.

btw....Shame on you too Jen for not alerting me to this before!

I was just coming back to do that! Accuse Laura of blasphemy.

*sigh* That was truly an enteratining read. How my work suffers....

But at the end there, I did get a bit worried. I feel bad for Jody and anyone who thinks there is a "witch hunt" going on. It's just proof that maybe they aren't getting the full picture. Although citygirl admitted as much.

Anyway, I met Jody back last May and I can't seem to meld the two personalities in my mind. IRL Jody and internet Jody seem to be different people. That or a couple hours isn't enough to assess one's character. I agree with the witch hunters for the most part. Jody has over reacted over many, many innocuous issues over the past year I have been around to witness it. I think posters just had enough. Can't blame them. I gave up over the whole SantaGate fiasco. Who came up with that term? I kiss you!

AT some point you have to stop being "wrong and strong".

I'm pretty much ready for my qualifying exams but they're still not scheduled because some of the professors on my committee suck. I just want it to be OVER, dang it!

Queen- I'm too embarassed to admit that I know that you changed your name but I couldn't figure out who you were on TK. Everyone else figured it out but me and I'm too much of a moron to just ask someone to tell me. I'm just wallowing in my ignorance. hahaha

I'm here for now, because DH thinks we should build up our savings more (which is BS - we have enough to get buy a few months of me unemployed). The last two weeks were absolutely awful - I came home crying twice last week. My boss is like Jekyll and Hyde. We seem to have transitioned abruptly back to Jekyll (for now).

Jen -

That sucks so much. I totally give you props for being able to stick in there. I'm not sure that I could pull it off. Not to sound cliche, but hang in there. Keep focusing on the monthly check.

Tell DH that you need a portion of every check to splurge on yourself so that you can keep your sanity.

Laura - don't you hate that about committees? ugh. I think I suffered through a single one before I decided to quit grad school. I admire you (and Jen), for having the gumption to stick it out. You are both better women than I.

Ugh, I don't want to get into it, but some chick from an international board took a disliking to me and may have known me IRL when we were really young. If it is her, she had problems with me in elementary school. She has since disappeared off TK. I changed my screen name and hard core locked down everything.

wow. What a small world. You really do have to be careful online sometimes.

I'll always remember...the day I put up our wedding website, my maid of honor called me to tell me that her PR dept had already called her in to look at it. I hadn't told a soul that I launched the site, but her office found it and the mini bio I wrote for her!

The interwebz is nutzo these days.

I've run into people online that I know IRL, and I'm sure there are even more lurking. It's kind of freaky. But none of them have persecuted me, thank goodness.
