  •   1. What time did you go to bed last night and were you alone? Oh to be alone, how nice that would be!  I usually go to bed between 10:30-11 even though DH usually goes up between 9-9:45.
    2. If you could be given ANY gift what would it be? Hm, my immediate thought is a paid trip to SIL's wedding in Hawaii, because that's on my mind lately.  Next thought is money to build our dream house on a nice plot of land. Smaller budget items would be a swanky bellydance costume or a replacement gemstone "engagement" ring from DH.
    3. What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? Inception was pretty cool- it was thought provoking and the ending was good since it was so indecisive.
    4. What is your favorite TV show of all time ie you've seen them all, can watch it over and over again and quote lines from it? Probably Arrested Development, but The Simpsons is a close second.
    5. Whats your favorite way to wake up and whats the first thing you do? I like waking up to a great catchy pop song.  I like to lay in bed for 15-60 minutes, bed dancing or giggling with DH and/or James.
    6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name? Oh lord, I have no idea.  I've never considered having a different name! I guess I wouldn't choose Erika, but my top girl name (Ingrid) is now reserved for any baby girl in my future.
    7. Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Nah.  I like a card and chocolate candies are nice and sure, I like an excuse to go out to eat somewhere nice with hubby, but those are all nice any day of the week.
    8. Whats the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it? There have been lots.  A lot were tapes, so most of them are gone.  Some of the CDs I had I would still have if they weren't stolen in Florida and I'd still listen to them.  Some of the top winners (losers?) were Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, Ace of Base (2 albums), Spice Girls (2 albums), Monsters of Rap (2 disc set purchased off of TV) and Madonna's *** Tracy inspired album.
      9. what would be your dream vehicle (bikes, cars, boats, batcar and millenium falcon is allowed!)? An Audi TT for everyday, an older model Jaguar convertable for Sunday drives
    10. Whats your favorite sandwich? Honestly, I love a good bologna and American cheese with lettuce and mayo on wheat bread.  Real health food...
    11. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself? I'm bossy, impatient, and can be a know it all.  (That took 2 seconds to rattle off!)
    12. Your favorite item of clothing and why? Some of my sweaters- I love that they are soft, warm, and colorful.  I can dress them up or down if I'm going to a business meeting at work or bumming on the couch on Saturday.
    13. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? Italy- tour of Tuscany with stops in Sicily, Venice, Florence, and Rome.  I'd go with hubby.  (I'd also really like to see Alaska, Iceland, and places in Eastern Europe like Bulgaria.)
    14. If you could have any animal/creature, What would be your ultimate pet be? I'd love a snake- a big one that would curl around my arms and torso.  I love snakes.
    15. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? I can never remember when anyone asks.  I dont' know that I thought about it that much- I was too busy being the self absorbed, "focused on what I'm into now" person I am today!  I guess I wanted to be a mom, and I've succeeded there.
    16. Whats the next planned event you're looking to in your life? SIL's wedding Hawaii- we can't afford it and I can't wait regardless!
    17. What were you doing before you started this? On a conference call at work
    18. What was the last thing you ate that you really shouldnt have? You're really going to make me answer this?  Hm, the sugared mango strips I've been munching on here aren't great.  Nor was the direct to the mouth squirt of whipped cream mid morning. Nor was the choc chip cookie for breakfast.  Or the Cadbury egg I snacked on yesterday at the office. Or the 3 cookies I ate during the day yesterday too... Please don't make me continue.
    19. If you were an ice cream/haagen daz/ben an jerrys flavor what would you be? Chunky Monkey?  No, no... um, maybe Coffee chip with caramel swirls because I'm high energy with some sharp edges but a real sweet streak if you can find it.
    20. Who was the last person you spoke to that you didnt want to talk to? Some random person from work that I wasn't expecting when I picked up the phone here at the office.
    21. What was your favorite toy as a child  . . .and now? Legos as a kid, and I'd totally play with them still for hours if I could! But I guess now the internet is my toy.
    22. When was the last time you cried laughing and why? I know DH and I get going good sometimes over the stupidest things, but I can't remember.  I DO remember that at Christmas, we were watching TV and that Radio Shack holiday dancing/ singing Santa robot commercial came on.  I had seen it about a dozen times before, but this one time I suddenly realized it was saying words.  I hadn't been able to tell before, and even still I could only understand a few words.  I just about peed my pants laughing about what an old fart I am that I had no clue.  DH felt superior because he had known and could understand significantly more- so there was some teasing involved. There was a lot of fake dialog in old lady voice about "what in the hell is that machine on tv doing? It's giving me a headache!  Go back to Antiques Roadshow dear!"  It still gets me giggly thinking about what an old person I've turned into.
    23. What is stashed under your bed/mattress? A bin of third tier sweaters, a bin of summer/ under shirts, a bin of medium bags (duffels, etc), a bin of bellydance costumes, I think a small fairly useless bat on a beach towel, and an ARMY of gross dust bunny-used tissue mutants.
    24. What did you dream about last night? I always have weird dreams that are involved.  I think last night had something about bellydancing and work and maybe other stuff?
    25. What are you really afraid of? Being raped and spiders.

  • I love answering these without reading other responses first so my answers are legit and my own.  BUT if I had read the others I would have added in that grilled cheese is an awesome sandwich, that I also have no willpower and a terrible habit of leaving things unfinished, and I'm afraid of someone doing something terrible to James.

Oh, and I misread the first question.  I went to bed at 10:30, a half hour after DH.

Cooper- My DH had a CJ7 while we lived in FL.  He loved it and did modifications and off roading.  I was less into it.

KC- I thought your name already was Awesome?

Annie- Muffalettas are SO good!  DH might take you up on that Seinfeld challenge too...

MACB- I don't want to watch Precious because just reading about the plot makes me uncomfortable- I don't think I could stand the whole movie.

Yeah, it definitely was uncomfortable and there were times I had to look away.  Some movies are disturbing but good, but this one didn't really do it for me.

    4. What is your favorite TV show of all time ie you've seen them all, can watch it over and over again and quote lines from it? Six Feet Under is probably my favorite ever; it's so well done; the finale of that show makes me bawl, it's so emotional

I love this show too! I watched the series once, but have watched the last few minutes of the finale a few times online and it gets me every time. I think I may have to rent this series again soon. It's been a few years, so I think I could watch the entire thing again.

OMG...speaking of disturbing.  I saw the episode where David gets kidnapped by that crazy person and forced to drive around smoking crack.  I found it so upsetting.  And I got really pissed when Brenda finally got her act together and she and Nate had that kid and then he ran off with that Quaker chick.  I felt so invested in those characters.

Did they have a kid together, or was it his daughter from Lisa?  I remember Brenda trying to get pregnant, but I don't remember if they ever had a baby.  I always loved Nate, but he was really f-ed up towards the end and did douchey things.  Definitely awesome character development!!

You are right...I think it was his daughter from Lisa, who Brenda then had to take care of when Nate died.
Love is like pi - natural, irrational, and very important. ~ Lisa Hoffman
