Everyone loses their big V when it's the right time for them (hopefully). Sometimes I think women are our own worst enemy - if you did it early it doesn't make you a whore, and if you did it late it doesn't make you a prude. If you did it a lot with a lot of different partners (safely of course) it doesn't make you a slut and if you've only done it with one person it doesn't make you inexperienced. Sex is not bad, people who like it and do it aren't dirty, regardless of how often they do it or who they do it with.

Very true. I guess I was just surprised at the amount of people who waited until college. I was younger than I thought I'd be (a month away from 17) but I'd been with my boyfriend for over a year and I was the last of my friends. So that erases some of the slutty factor.

I was REALLY young and totally pressured into it. I had sex once and then waited almost 3 years to have it again. I'm not really ashamed of it, but I do regret it. I was H's first, so in a way, that makes me regret having had sex with anyone else.

My ex (bf at the time) and I waited til college. We had dated a 3ish years by then and broke up 4 years later. After meeting DH, I wish I'd waited but can't undo the past and I thought I had found "the" one with the ex anyway. Live and learn.

in HS one of our teachers wanted us to privately write the number of people we thought it was appropriate for us to have sex with in our lifetimes. it was totally secret and nobody would know what we put. i put something like 17 (for the record, i have only had a grand total of 2) that i thought was an ok number for me to have sex with in my entire lifetime (my logic was 2 in HS, maybe 4-6 in college, and then after college, however many until finding "mr. right). please note, gerren and i were dating and sleeping together at the time, but i was thinking along the lines of "if i hadnt been dating gerren then how many people would i think was appropriate for myself."
cut to the teacher writing all of the numbers that people wrote on the board. the numbers obviously ranged from 1-3000. after class a group of us, including gerren, were all talking about the numbers and how many we put down and gerren said "just one." he was so cute, even back then as a horny 18 year old.

Haha, my number was 6-8 if I was engaged before 25. If not, I should be at 10 or less and married by 30. I didn't want to say I'd need to use my fingers and toes to count. I know that makes no sense but its how I justified it in my head.
I actually refused to go on another date with a guy because I figured if we kept dating we'd eventually have sex and I decided that keeping my number where it was, was more important than him.
