I hope you guys can forgive me but I still haven't bought a charger and even beyond that I am feeling pretty unhappy about my body right now. I wasn't going to post this because it sounds so incredibly stupid but I cried trying to take a picture with my phone. My torso looks like a tree trunk, I don't get it I figured I would have a distinctive bump but instead I've become really, really solid all the way up to my ribs (to the point of being super uncomfortable). Once I feel like I look pregnant I promise I will put one up but right now I just feel like a giant thumb.

I am sorry if this makes me sound ungrateful, I swear it doesn't consume my thoughts it just sort of caught me off guard when I decided to use my phone even if the picture wouldn't be good.

Aww, no worries Pooks. I didn't feel like I had a bump until about 22 weeks, up until then I felt bloated, and thought I looked like I had a beer gut. Even now, with a definite bump, I still feel like a fatty. I don't have any warm weather maternity clothes, so I had to resort to stretching old t shirts out the past few days... that didn't help anything!

These are completely normal feelings, as women I think we're all unhappy with some part of our bodies, and pregnancy emphasizes the self conscienceness (did I spell that right? I dont think I did...) of us all. *hugs* you'll have a full blown bump in no time! Right now just enjoy still having balance!

. I'm sure you look great to everyone else, but I understand the feeling of feeling like you look like blah. We're not mad you didn't post a pic and I personally did not feel like you sounded ungrateful. I'm sorry if I made you feel pressured to post a picture

What you are feeling is completely normal Pooks. I'm sorry you cried about it though, I just want to give you a big hug. I was self-conscious about showing so early in my opinion.

Oh Pookie, I'm sorry you feel yuck .I don't see it as you complaining. You're going through a big adjustment and it doesn't change how excited and grateful you feel about your blessing, you just have to get used to they way you're growing and it will change as the weeks go on.

I bet it's not as bad as you think either. Here's my worthless anecdote - I thought I looked pretty good the whole time as I was going through it but then last week I found a picture from the shower Nick's work threw for us last February and I think I looked terrible!! So, there you go - I felt good the whole time until I looked back on it!

Ummm I remember your pictures and you looked good crazy lady. I really appreciate all the nicer replies I love having this board to bounce my 'off the wall' thoughts and feelings on. LOL

It was just weird when I finally took a moment to stand sideways and realized how solid I was right to my ribs, it made me sooo sad. Then again I cried randomly about 12 times in the last 4 days so I will just chalk it up to pregnancy hormones. Stick out tongue
