I knew that if I got a call from my midwife before my next appointment (on March 7th) that it would mean something was "wrong" on the ultrasound I had last week. She just called.
I have a two vessel cord. From the little research I've done in the last ten minutes, I'm pretty freaked out right now. She suggested we go for another ultrasound so they can look into it further. She said sometimes this can be the cause of heart problems. She also said she's delivered lots of babies that had a two vessel cord and everything was normal.
I'm freaked out and so is my husband. I don't even know when we'll know more - after if we get in for another ultrasound next week. I hardly ever do this, but please keep our baby boy in your thoughts. Thanks.
