remember the Under $1000k blog chick?
Re: remember the Under $1000k blog chick?
What's a UU?
I feel bad for those kids.
:gasp:
Unitarian Universality- they're not Christians exactly, just believe in a higher power that wants a role in our lives and they live more "faithfully" (aka services, etc.) than agnostics.
Stand up for something you believe in.
And they tend to be more open-minded than other religious sects.

Maybe w/H gone she can fit 2 kids in bed with her instead of sleeping underneath the crib.
My only experience with UU is a funeral service I attended last year at a UU church for a friend of my father's, and I have to say, it was by far the nicest funeral I've been to. So much nicer to be at a service that celebrated the life of the person being put to rest and not be focused nearly exclusively on the scripture and the church (I'm talking to you, Catholic Church)...but on the person, with his/her loved ones getting up to share stories and memories. That was beautiful and how I would want to go out.
ETA: Agreement on being celebrated in death rather than mourned, and that being how I would want to go...

Riss, I am sorry if I offended you or anyone on the board with my parenthetical address to the catholic church, which I intended to be humorous but which I can see might be seen as offensive.
If my comments were seen as disrespectful, I apologize. I was raised catholic and went to catholic school and have very strong feelings about organized religion, in general, and catholicism specifically, and while I try to not inflict my beliefs or lack thereof on others, it does seep out from time to time. The church is not for me, but I do actually respect that other people feel strongly about it and are entitled to their beliefs and don't make a habit of attacking anyone for it.
Again, I sincerely apologize if my off-hand comment offended you. That was certainly not my intent.
ETA I didn't see mcd's comment before. Makes more sense now, although I don't think she intended it to be offensive.
Much appreciated!
