Poll: Next vacation?
All this snow is getting to me so I just ordered a new swimsuit from Jcrew, and it is making me so excited for warm weather. We are going to Longboat Key, FL in April and I can't wait! It will be our first family vacation so it may not be relaxing but it will nice to get away.
Other than that we don't have any other trips planned right now.

We'll prolly take a long weekend on the Cape over the summer.
We're going overnight to Mohegan Sun at the end of April for my bday. First time sans Sami.
But that's really it. None too exciting.
Something tells me we're not going to be getting a real vacation away until we go to Florida/Disney with my family in 2014...

It's not very exciting, but I'm going to Cleveland on an overnight trip for my birthday. It's only 3 hours away and DH and I really need some sort of vacation after everything we've been through over the past few months, and having shelled out over $4K in unexpected expenses since August, we can't afford to go anywhere fancy.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I think we're going to Nashville in October to meet Michael's father's extended family from Ireland.
I'd like to plan a trip to Ireland, but money's been tight, so I'm not sure we can swing it.

I'm going to NYC with my mom & sister to see Wonderland in April then the next week I'm going back with Jon to see Cake with a bunch of his friends.
Then in May we're going to Memphis for a long weekend.
In September we're going back to San Francisco & Napa.
My dad was thinking about going to Austin TX to visit our family. Other than that, it would be possibly be Mexico in September.
Maybe NOLA soon, to visit my friend that moved down there.

We were supposed to go to St. Louis so I could run in the 5k, but my knee has been hurting me bad since I ran the last one, so we are just going to take our week off and drive down to Orlando.
So far we are going to Universal, Kennedy Space Center, and anything else we may find along the way! I can't wait since I have never been to Florida.

In 2 weeks I'll be in Tampa for work (a 3 day conference). It will be a busy few days, but my bff is meeting me there and after the conference we'll stay in Tampa for a day and visit with friends, then go to Orlando for a few days and stay with another friend. I'm not sure we will do any Disney/theme parks, but definitely some pool/beach time is in my future.
There is some potential work travel in the coming months that I might combine with fun if I have to go because I have friends in both areas (Denver in May, Chicago in July).
This summer we'll do some time on the Cape with my parents, but I don't always count that as a real vacation.
I've started hinting to Nick that we should go to Bermuda again in early Fall, but this time stay with a family friend to keep it cheap. We'll see how that goes:)
We have talked about doing an extended weekend somewhere but not sure if we can. H is using most of his vacation time when the baby comes.
So as of right now it looks like we are staying in this place called NY. We will probably venture into the city a couple times to go to the park and zoo. H isn't big on going to the city often because he works there everyday.
this year not much, we are going to the coast (sonoma/ napa) in april for a marathon that H is running in, but other than that i don't think we have anything planned.
Next year we are going to hawaii. H is training for the Iron man. He has to qualify to run in it, but regardless we will go. Im doing my best while being pregnant and not able to run/swim/bike or eat the way he is to be supportive.
We're looking into a cruise for Spring Break. Also, thinking about going to Houston sometime this summer (where one of my bff lives) and then traveling to San Antonio from there.

We've been talking about a trip to Niagara Falls in the late spring/early summer and then a trip to DC in the fall. But since Nooner is going to DC in April, I may talk to Doug about switching up our plans.
If I can swing the money, I'd also like to fly down to SC around the beginning of October to visit my BFF and my new godchild.
We're going to Arkansas to see Ames next weekend (eek!) and then Texas to visit my uncle.
Fingerlakes trip in August, and probably the beach in June or July.
Next year though our friends are having a DW in Jamaica. Woot!
I have a lot of trips planned! I'm taking advantage of my unemployment.
In April I'm going with my parents to Kentucky to go to the annual festivities at Maker's Mark. Clint's going to NH for work for a week and I'll join him for a couple days.
In May we're going to Disney for a week. We were also going to go to the beach for a week, but we weren't able to get a condo so Clint and I will spend a couple days with my parents, staying in their condo.
In June we're going with my family to a beach cottage for a week, which we do every year.
End of June/beginning of July we're going to DC for a meeting.
After that there's nothing, since I'll hopefully have a job by then. My parents are going to Disney in October so hopefully we can take a weekend and join them there.
We haven't really talked about any vacations. We're still getting used to having money again. Otherwise, we're saving up to move in Sept so I doubt we'll be going on any vacations this year. Plus, B just started his job so not sure where he falls on the totem pole for time-off requests.
We're on the Cape almost every weekend at our parents' respective places, but that's not necessarily vacation-like (as Kass mentioned), but still, we are fortunate to have those places to stay.
Oh crap, I just realized my vacation time is cut in half cause I had to borrow 2 weeks from this year for the time I took off in Oct cause of my head boo-boo. Crap. That sucks. Ah, just as well.
I want to save up and go to Napa Valley next year. That's my dream anyway.
But maybe we can take a long weekend in the summer and go to Bar Harbor. We talked about doing that last year. I'd also like to go back to Newport for another weekend, but the prices are starting to climb there.
I should try to pencil in a weekend in Newport this summer, Clint's never been to RI, except for flying out of Providence twice. I love Newport.
I love Newport (it's where B proposed). Funnily enough, we've never been there in the summer. We've been there for Valentine's Day weekend one year and then post-Christmas (when we got engaged), so it's always cold and dreary, but we still love it. So many great restaurants and shops and the cold weather just makes it seem more romantic. God, I want to go back there. ::runs off to check the Marriott website again::

Our next vacation together is Toronto at the end of June. We're going with the In-laws and bringing Nate to meet the Canadian family.
Kev is going on a golf trip to Long Island in the beginning of June for his brother's 30th birthday.
Other than those, we're laying low for a while. We'll probably take another small trip together next year but we are saving for my BFF's wedding in the Bahamas in Jan 2013. It's going to be on the more expensive side but that's OK!

hooray!!! Just for vaca! I'm getting in the afternoon fo the 5th, but going to visit some friends in Richmond the 6th, and half the day the 7th. Then back to DC area, and H gets in late the night of the 7th. A GTG (at least one!) will DEFINITELY be planned!
