Yeah, our dog will randomly bark at the wall.  2 weeks ago, J came home and the dog was in the room behind the front door standing with his hair on end growling (this dog doesn't growl.  He would probably wag his tail and kiss a robber carrying our tv out of the house).  But the big thing was last week, J called me at work and asked why i came back home that morning.  I said i didn't.  He said he was in teh bathroom getting ready for work, heard the front door open and close and then about 10 seconds later open and close again.  When he went out there, it was unlocked.  I was conviced that maybe he just didn't lock it the night before, but that still doesn't account for what he heard.   We've also been hearing weird noises and stuff.

I am ridiculously fascinated by this. My cat stares at nothing on the wall quite frequently but I think she's just dumb. :) I'm so curious to know what you find out.

Last night I finish the new Jodi Picoult book Sing You Home (or something like that) REALLY REALLY REALLY good!!!! I love all her books and this one didn't disappoint.

I'm not a huge Piccoult fan, but I did like The Plain Truth and The Pact.

I thought The Tenth Circle was one of the worst books ever written.

  • Morning all.  Busy night last night.  Worked late, went home for a bit, then to my dads to do laundry then back home put laundry away and made lunch for today.

Plans for tonight include packing for our trip tomorrow, buy snacks and alcohol, and I have to make a bouquet for a bride for Saturday.  It is going to be one busy day for me.

Oh, and yesterday I got a virus on my work computer and it sucks!  At least I can use another computer in the interim, but I have to sit directly behind my manager which means less time on TN Sad.

Damn On the Border.  I couldn't resist the warm chips and polished off a bowl before I knew what I was doing.  Still...10 lbs lost and still going, so one slip up won't kill me.

I loooooove OTB chips and salsa. I actually buy the salsa in a big container and take it home. Congrats on -10! Great work!

Shauni - happy birthday to Mr. G!

Also, it's generally more difficult for heavier girls to conceive.

It's supposedly really difficult for really skinny girls too.  You just can't win.

I do not observe organized religion, but I was raised Catholic. This year for Lent I am giving up being nice to people who don't deserve it, dealing with aholes and liars, and the conservative agenda.

OMGHAHAHAH!  I'm sooo going to copy you on this.

    It snowed last night.

It is March 9. It should not be snowing anymore, period.

  • Oh yeah, forgot to add.  Yesterday I spent more than I earned.  I had to pay $195 for my ticket and for my root canal.  Good thing is that I can do traffic school so no points in my record and I got the root canal before our trip or I would have been in serious PAIN!

AGREED!  And if it does snow, it's shouldn't be enough to have to shovel, plow, etc.

I'm originally from Illinois but moved to wisc. after graduating college.  I know it's not that big of a difference though.  BUT my first year I was in Wisco, it snowed... IN MAY!!!!!  I was ready to move back.

Our cat does the samething...she'll stare at the ceiling and the walls randomly.    She'll even go back and forth fast between the wall and ceiling like she see's something move.  Our dog however does nothing that's why I'm convinced our cat is just crazy.

ITA on this comment.  The whole comic book thing just didn't work for me.  And Alaska?  Really?  It just didn't gel.

That being said, I do like most of her books.  I hated when they made the movie of Sister's Keeper, though, especially the way they f'd up the ending.

And I have no concentration skills today - I cannot follow this thread for my life.  But I'm glad LauraT sounds happier today - I thought she might jump off a bridge yesterday (sucky boss).  And (don't flame me) I don't believe in ghosts  Zip it!

  • Susie - I don't believe in them either b/c I've never had an experience make me think otherwise...but I do find it entertaining to watch shows about it

No worries!!!!  I probably wouldn't either if I haven't had the experiences that I have had.  To each their own girl!

Haha, thanks.  Yesterday was rough, but I'm feeling much better (not that my boss isn't still) an asshat.

I don't believe in ghosts, either.

I actually agree with this. the tenth circle would have to be my least favorite,.

I hated my sisters keeper the movie. Especially how it end,

  • I agree that My Sister's Keeper was better as a book.  BUT, I still bawled my eyes out watching the movie.

  • Oh I did too! As a movie not based on a book I thought it was good. Based on the book I thought it ruined one of my favorite books.

Ditto.  I used to read these because my mom or sister would pass them on, and I told them after that book that I was swearing her off forever.
