My best friend, my mom, passed away this afternoon. She'd been fighting cancer for nearly four years, but she's at peace now.
C has been such a good baby - when I've
been upset she'd try to make me smile, or come over and give me a kiss
or lean against me for a hug. And giving grandpa snuggles etc. And we'd
go talk to grandma and she'd put her little hand on moms head, and just
leave it sitting there. And my DH is a true gem - I don't know how we would have managed without him. I vent about him occasionally, but he is truly amazing.
So even when your parents annoy you make sure you always tell them how much you
love them them and how important to you they are. My mom was my best
friend, and now she's gone. One of my realizations from all this is to live your life like it's your last days - meaning make sure your loved ones know through your words and actions how you feel about them, every day.
Here's a pic of my mom and C resting together from a couple months ago. She was a great mom, and she loved being a grandma - C was the apple of her eye. I'm so thankful that she was able to hang with us to get to spend some time with C and experience her first year.
Re: Hardest and saddest days of my life
I am truly sorry for your loss. I'm glad you are surrounded with love and support during this difficult time. Thank you for the reminder to cherish our loved ones. Your family will be in my prayers. Please take care of yourself.
(((Hugs)))

I am so very sorry.
I can just tell from the words in your post what an awesome amazing mom she must have been.
Hugs.
