What outfit would you love to put LB in?

A leopard print, strapless, tight-assss jumpsuit.  What's there for LB not to love.

  • Also, PIP the LB outfit please.

    Favorite pair of shoes?

I don't have a favorite really but lately I've been wearing my guess tan leather pumps that I wore shopping the other day a lot.

  • imageClaireDunphy:
Have you ever done any volunteering?

Yes, in high school, volunteering was a mandatory component of the curriculum every year.  I mostly did a lot of organizing at homeless shelters, women's shelters as well as some visits to deaf/blind schools to play with the kids.  I haven't done much volunteering at all since then though.

No, I'm not giving anything up this year.  I don't remember ever really giving anything up in the past either.  It always seemed like a new year's resolution to me that I may have said but never really kept.

What toy did you always want as a kid but never get?

Snoopy snow cone machine!!  I swear my mom bought that for every f'in kid's birthday party that I went to but never bought it for me.  DH bought me one when we first starting dating.

  • imageClaireDunphy:
    WFL?

My usual, two plain salami sandwiches, a granola bar and a nectarine for today's fruit of the day.

  • imageClaireDunphy:
    WFD?

DH ended up making seafood jumbalaya last night.  We have leftovers and he'll also cook up some chicken to add to it for tonight.

I can see why you married him. I would have totally sold my soul and/or hand for an easy bake oven.

These kinds of things are what made me sad when I found out I was having a boy.  I sooo wanted a second childhood of toys.  James is going to have an easy bake oven though.

    YWIA.

  • What's the best vacation you've ever been on?
  • How many jumpsuits do you own?
  • I'm speechless.

  • In a nutshell, what is the difference between Footloose and Flashdance?

What's the best vacation you've ever been on?

I'd have to say it was my vacation to France with DH the year we got engaged.  I'm a huge Francofile and had been fascinated with the French Revolution since high school.  It was amazing and the right combination of sight-seeing, relaxing, tours, on our own, etc.  We were there for 10 days and spent time in Paris, a day at the Normandy beaches and a few days in the wine region of Burgundy.

    Just two.

  • imageLucille Bluth:
In a nutshell, what is the difference between Footloose and Flashdance?

Let me break this down for you in terms you'll understand.

Footloose is about rebublicans - small town in rural America that banned dancing within the city limits in the name of god and teenage promiscuity/drinking.

Flashdance is about liberals - stripper/welder, in other words union-worker, that wants to be accepted to a huge liberal arts dance program.

  • @LB

    AHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAAH

Ah, okay.  I think I understand that.

So Footloose is obviously that Footloose song and Flashdance is What a Feeling, right?

Yes!  Both songs of the same name were used in the last dance sequence of each movie and both songs were nominated for Academy Awards (Flashdance won, Footloose did not).

  • Oh, I thought the name was "what a feeling."  Oops.
