Earthquake in Japan... Stumpy
I had DH map out the distance from the epicenter to where Stumpy lives. He says it is about 170 miles distance. Tokyo was shaking pretty good and they are about 230 miles from the epicenter. Lets hope she is safe and sound from any tsunami.

Thanks Angela! I just read the story and came her to check on her. Stay Safe P and check in when you can!
Ditto!
Tea Time for Lulu
Phew. Came on this morning to check on her. Glad it sounds like she's safe.
How devistating. My heart goes out to Japan.
My little firecracker. Born on her due date,7/4/11
Glad she and her husband are safe!
My cousin and his wife and two kids live in Japan (in Nagano, which is around 250 miles west of Sendai, which is near the epicenter). They said they felt it, although not strongly enough to even wake their two young children from their naps. They are okay, and have power, gas, etc. Although his wife is kind of freaked out.
My thoughts are definitely with the people affected. They were mentioning on the news this morning that this quake would be approximately 900 times more powerful than Loma Prieta (which was 6.9). Yikes!
