Moms that have the FP rock and play sleeper...

Is it really as great as people say? Should I bite the bullet and get it now or wait and see if he needs something like it? We have a swing and a vibrating seat so will I need this gem too?
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

Lol thanks! I saw on your blog you have the yellow one. The Target near my house has a tan one that looks a little different, are they the same just a different pattern? They have a very slight different name so I wasn't sure. That's probably a really stupid question but I have no energy to go to BBB...

Yeah, they had ONLY the yellow one for the longest time, but I guess now that the popularity has risen, they're branching out.

You will not be disappointed!  It's just so convenient in so many ways -- 6 months later and we're still using it!

How big is it?  I have serious space constraints.  Does it fold away easy?  Easy to move around?

  • I registered for it after all the rave reviews here.  I think the yellow one is cute!  I think I'll use it next to our bed for the first month instead of using a Pack N Play with the bassinet attachment.  As long as the cats don't try to hop in the RNP with the baby...

It's really easy to fold up and stash away... unfolded I would say its no wider than a nighttable?  At least thats what I notice when we put it next to our bed.

    Aww, thanks! :)

She's still fitting into 3-6mos, though she's getting tall, and her pants are getting shorter before her tops are getting tighter!

Know what's awesome? Stretchy pants that still fit in the waist but are too short make GREAT capri pants.

  • Haha I don't know! What I did was I went and got rubbermaid tubs, labeled them by size, and sorted all the clothes according to size. That way when it's time to transition I just switch everything out. And, if I find something cute on clearance in a larger size, I'll buy it for next year and just toss it in the tub. I've been keeping the larger sizes in the garage, and just keeping the next size up in her room in case I need to get into it.

This is what I started to do.  I have entirely too much newborn and 0-3 month sized items... I have already gave some away, actually.  I think 30 onesies, are enough, right? This weekend is our baby shower, so I figure we'll get more.

As of now the 6+ month bins are a little bare... but I'm sure they'll get filled up soon.

When we found out Sami's sex (gender?) it was when all the spring/summer clothes were out, so I planned ahead and bought all 6-9mos... so far I was right on track, but OMG she has so many clothes for the summer right now, it's not even funny!

I haven't filled up the drawers yet but I'm thinking at least the one side will be filled up with the newborn stuff I have already.  I'm hoping to have one side 0-3 and the other 3-6... Or something like that. I'm trying not to think about this weekend, it sort of overwhelms me thinking about all the stuff we will be getting.

  • I bought clothes in different sizes on clearance throughout my pregnancy.  Back then it felt strange, but I am SO thankful I did.  My mom even bought a 12 month winter coat at the beginning of my pregnancy.  It was on super clearance and am so happy she did because he is currently wearing it!  People have always bought him huge sizes, but he can fit in 12 and 18 months already so it works lol :)
