I would love to give you times when I will post, but having a baby makes that impossible. I will try to make the 1st post in the morning and the 2nd one early afternoon. Hopefully that will give enough time for everyone to post.
Soooo, if you could swap jobs with a fellow niner, who would it be and why?

Re: A Day in the Life
I've been debating between Mary, Michelle, and Stephanie. In the end, I've decided Stephanie. Her day job sounds pretty exciting and unique. It would be fun to catch the bad guys
Her 2nd job really needs no explanation. It would be tons of fun to plan weddings and be part of others' special day.
I'm gonna go with Mary.
I debated between law school and a MSW but I decided to go with MSW so lawyer would be a close second in my dream jobs.
However, I would not want to do corporate - I wanna do public/civil service type stuff - immigration, single moms, kids/teens, etc.
She didn't respond to the post below but my vote is for Nooner. I have a minor in Forensic Psychology and wish I could have furthered my forensic psych education but there are no school's in the area and moving wasn't really an option for me.
I've always wanted to work with criminals in some way, whether it be in the psychology field as a lawyer, corrections officer, etc.
Tonia. I'd love to teach dance, and then have the amazing body she does because of it. Also, the artistic expression because of it. Really really awesome.
Close call to the teachers billyandsara and DD.

I have a 3-way tie between Smo, DD, and Meghan (tdmd) if you don't count the other nannies (and of course the moms) because:
-I've always thought being a wedding planner would be awesome. (Smo)
-Being a teacher is something I always wanted to do growing up, but never persued. (DD)
-Being a nurse would be awesome, but my memory is horrible, so I don't think it would be a good career choice for me. (tdmd)

You didn't have to do forensic psych as a major.
You could work with them as a bachelor's in psych or social work, and a master's in social work.
It took me a minute to figure out who Stephanie was. haha
I know but I really loved the criminal mind aspect of it more than anything else. So, I didn't want to have to take other courses that wouldn't interest me.
I was a SW major for maybe a semester - didn't interest me at all.
I can't decide. The most feasible "switch" for me would be tdmd (Meghan) because if I lost my job tomorrow, I'd take my pre-reqs and go straight to nursing school. It's the only job I ever sit around and think I'd want to do.
McD's job would also be pretty cool and a good fit for me because of my background in English and I already do a lot of editing. However, my passion for writing has sadly dwindled in the last few years.
As far as the most exciting person to switch with, I'd go with Smo, definitely. Both her jobs probably rarely bring a dull moment.
It kind of threw me too, seeing my name (ALL nine letters) in all of its glory.

Stand up for something you believe in.
Haha, I agree. I don't actually 'like' social work classes but I want to 'be' a social worker and so it's what I gotta do. :-(
I LOVE the criminal aspect of it. Criminal Minds (both of them) are literally my favorite shows because of the psychological aspect of it. I hope to do some of that work during my career.
At least you can get your fill watching TV these days, lol!
Did you go to Bridgewater? I only ask because I know they have a forensic minor. I would've studied that if I had stayed at BSC - I took two classes there.
Haha! Didn't mean to confuse anyone
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I don't watch Criminal Minds because I don't want to get sucked into another TV show and I know it will happen. haha - the few episodes I've watched the acting has annoyed me - at least that's what I tell myself so that I don't get sucked in.
I did go to BSC (well, now BSU). There were rumors that Northeastern was going to develop a Forensic Psych Masters program. I'm still waiting for it to happen. There are a couple locations in MA that offer a program now - but financially, I just can't do it right now. When I was planning to go straight for my Masters John Jay in NY was the closest school that offered a program.
Oh, wow, I didn't know BSC was BSU now. I learned something new. :-)
Haha, yes, getting sucked in isn't so good. However, I have no life so I have tons of time to watch TV. I love the new Criminal minds - at first I thought I wouldn't like it but I love it.
In the future, I may think about doing a forensic psych masters but, like you, it's definitely not in the cards or the wallet now.
I'm not telling you to quit your job or anything lol, but with an education degree, you'd be surprised at how much you could make as a nanny (I'm obviously not rolling in BIG bucks lol). Both times I interviewed for jobs, I stuck to my guns on how much my pay rate is(even if it was higher than most were asking for) and I still got offered jobs with every position I interviewed for.

I've had some experience in substance abuse, and more in behavioral issues, and it's extremely interesting! Hard but interesting. The same with mr, autism, etc.
I would have to go with Michelle. With my job, I collaborate with the designers a lot, and really like that aspect. The favorite part of my job is when I'm using InDesign or Quark to work on the layouts. I get to do a little, I tweak their layouts and have final say on designs and covers, but it would be nice to be able to do that myself.
Also wish I had her eye and talent for photography.
It was a close call for me between Mary, Michelle, and Nooner.
I always wanted to do something with law. I think it would be awesome to be as talented as Michelle and have a job working on that.
I think, like Jill, I'd have to go with Nooner. I have a need to help others, and although teaching is a wonderful option, and something I consider, If i had the option to do what Nooner does, that would be fun.
