  • New stove.  Our house came with the 1970s brown model that runs about 75 degress hotter than the temp you set it for.  I'm pretty impressed with myself that I worked with that thing this long.

Always missing my Mommy (1954-2010) and Daddy (1943-2012)
    TTC since 2009 ; BFP 9/13/10 = MC 10/21/10
    DX = DOR/POA (AMH=1.1; AFC=4-5)
Surprise BFP 8/31/11 while waiting to cycle for IVF
    Welcomed our little miracle 5/7/12

  • It's a long story but we have to replace our pool. If our homeowners insurance doesn't cover it, that's our next big purchase. UGH
  • Under cabinet lighting/backsplash in our kitchen Also thinking of a cruise sometime in June

  • Honestly, last year was a year FULL of big purchases - renovated our home, went on 2 big vacations, etc. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our next big purchase (probably next year) will be baby stuff.

Of course! Problem is that if the insurance doesn't figure their sh!t out very soon, it won't even be worth getting a new one until next year. This seriously puts a damper on my plans for a 2nd Annual Backyard GTG.
  • new windows- hopefully in early may, i could vomit when i think about what we are paying for this.  ours are 15 years old and drafty pieces of krap.

other than that, we are moving sue into a different room in the house, moving the "office" into her room and creating a playroom in the former "office"/ man cave/ treadmill room, sometime around may/june.  it's going to require some new furniture and paint- but nothing ridiculous.

it's time's like these i miss my paycheck!

  • A pair of shoes from the Boden catalog and a new purse...

oh, did you mean non-selfish necessary purchases? ;)

We have a detached garage and have to replace the concrete floor.

  • haha smile!

We just purchased windows for our house- OUCH!! After that i think it will be gutters because our house has none!

    imageimage
  • We need to get those things that go over the gutters to prevent leafs from building up, that will be this spring.

And I think we are going to get a new washing machine. Mine likes to jump across the room when you wash in it even though its level.

We only plan on living in our current house another 3 yrs or so, so we are trying to limit the renovations. This past winter we put in all new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

We got it at Costco a few years ago. They always have good furniture finds.

Hells yea...I was planning on having one either way Drinks  Probably late June.

  • dh and i are both getting new prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses this week - i'm estimating $1k Tongue Tied for the 4

tix for extended family to see Ava's first recital - they're $16 each - think i might try to talk a few people out of going...is that bad? i can invite them to the dvd party over the summer when it comes in.
