Re: QOTD Tuesday

  • Scrubbing/cleaning mutha effing baseboards.  Hands down.
  • Cleaning the floors, whether it's sweeping, vaccuming, or mopping.

  • Vaccuming. I just don't do it. Thankfully DH does, but he's kind of crazed and dramatic about it. When he does it, he seriously vaccums the.entire.house. including the bathrooms. It's a little weird, but hey. It's clean.
  • All of them. My least favorite is probably scrubbing the tub.

  • It's a toss up between the walk in shower in the master or laundry. I really hate laundry.

  • mopping the floors for sure. i should just get a swiffer but the thought of throwing away the pads every time makes me feel bad. i try to be as nature-friendly as possible with cleaning and using washable rags and brushes.

I might pick this if I ever in my life did it........ I'm the worst housekeeper ever.

In this house it's cleaning the shower because it just pisses me off that nothing will EVER work. In general, probably dishes.

  • cleaning the bathroom, mainly the toilets and the shower.

  • Floors - vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Keeping the floors clean in my house is next to impossible with the dogs, it's a daily thing and it is the bane of my existence.

  • Yeah, I pretty much only do baseboards if it's a guest bathroom and someone is coming over Embarrassed
  • I hate doing floors too.  And washing dishes by hand.  We have a dishwasher, but for pots and certain things we do them by hand.  I use a scrubby wand, so it's not so bad.  I hate touching caked on food and floating food particles.  Ick!

Have you thought about getting a shark steam mop? It has seriously changed how I feel about cleaning floors. It cleans great and you just throw the pads in the washing machine.

  • I hate cleaning the bathroom especially the tub. Baseboards come in second because I never clean them.

No, I will have to look into it! Do you have to vacuum/sweep first? We don't have much tile, but I feel like it never looks clean. The grout in the kitchen in some places is just gross... and I don't want to scrub it by hand...

I have this cheap one from target. We had our grout cleaned and sealed about a year ago and it doesn't look dirty but I am not sure if the steam mop would clean the grout too.

I love my Shark mop especially now that the whole house has to be mopped.

Yes you're supposed to sweep first. I got a Shark mop for Christmas and I love it!

  • Scooping the cat box for sure and folding the clothes in a close second. The cat box is disgusting, but it's unavoidable. I have been know to have a hamper of clean clothes unfolded sitting on my bedroom floor for days. I just pick what I want, wrinkle release it and go about my business.

  • Dishes by far. I can't stand doing them. Luckily that's the household chore that DH tends to do without being asked.

  • Dusting the ceiling fans. That is the WORST.

Dusting the ceiling fans. That is the WORST.

I HAVE THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THIS!!!  (Multiple exclamation marks and caps are necessary because it's that genius.)

Use an old pillowcase.  Put the blade one at a time inside the pillowcase and wipe the entire blade.  All of the dust stays inside the pillow case.  Throw in the washing machine and done!

This is pretty much the only way laundry is done in my house. It's a rare occasion that what you need is folded or hanging in the closet.

  • Vacuuming.  So much effin dog hair!
  • I hate hate hate laundry. HATE it.

Which is probably why there are clothes in various stages of the laundry process throughout my home.
