Baby Fever

Ok...so seeing the picture of Eli really makes me want another baby!  But DH and I agreed that it'll be about another year before we start TTC again.

Re: Baby Fever

  • Mine's slowly been creeping back in over the last month or two.  Last time I had it, it was pretty intense, but this time around, it's more like, "yep, I'm ready."

I think it also has to do with the fact that we also officially have the names we'd like to use when the time comes.

  • Yeah, I've had it for awhile now Wink

But to be perfectly honest, it's starting to go away. We've been TTC for 29 months now, and really, I'm becoming more and more okay with the idea of being childless with each month that passes. I'm tired of meds and schedules and needles.

I can live vicariously through all of you!

Lol. We need a good cat pic for this.

I admit to thinking that I am closer. Our friends just had a baby about 5 weeks ago. I got to cuddle with him over the weekend and loved it.

We need to figure out my job situation and earn a bit more before we think about it, though.I also want to redo our kitchen and get rid of the carpet in the living areas of the house first.

If we wait about 2 years, we may have the perfect childcare, too. My SIL runs an in home daycare and I'd love to send kids there because she is amazing (and cheap!). In one year, one kid will be off to kindergarten and then the next year four more (including her two kids) will. So, ideally we'll get in on that second set Smile

  • My baby fever has been creeping back over the last couple months after going away this fall/winter. All the cute babies on this board are pushing it along. Wink

But I'm in a wedding in September and will be really busy with planning the shower and bach party so we definitely won't be thinking about trying until after that. Plus we're still finishing our basement, which we want done first.

I'm also not sure I'm completely ready. I think knowing I don't want to get pregnant right now because of the wedding if making it hard to know if I'm ready for the sleepless nights and lack of me time. I love looking at all the baby pictures, thinking about names, and learning about the gear, but I can't say right now that I'm 100% ready.

::Baby dust to all those trying:: We're always thinking of you.

  • I have it, although it's not as bad as it was about a month ago when one of my BFFs had her second boy.  I know there is no way we can TTC for a while; the earliest we could think about an addition is a year from this May when B is done grad school and I am hopefully done my first year at a new job.  I'm kind of thinking that the following Jan is better (get spring semester and summer off) when P is 3 1/2.  We'll see.

My SIL is due at the end of July, though, so that helps my baby fix.

Word.  It hit me like a Mack truck sometime around Christmas.  I'm still on BCP, but am not happy about it.

Unfortunately we have all sorts of things up in the air with DH's job (totally secure, but his next promotion has an 80% chance of forcing us to move), which means I'd have to find a new job, make myself a valuable asset, THEN get pg and drop the bomb that I need 3 months off....Boo DH's job.

  • I had the fever really bad last spring when my BF had her baby but it's gone away a little.  I'm to the point where I'm just ready now and we finally sold my grandparents house so we're out from under that burden and we're in better shape than we have been.

I went off BC in Jan. because I was just done with it and was getting sick, JT says we're just going to see what happens but he has no clue how cycles work so I hope soon.  I feel so much better now that there is no more BC.  I'm just ready to be a mom.

Sarah, you're not out yet, I'm hoping.

  • I am hopin for Jaime, Amy, and Sarah. I'm not around here much so I don't really even know who else is trying. Stupid baby fever is creeping it's way back into my life. I would rather it stay away so I don't have to worry about what may (ormay not be) wrong inside. Before I got off BCP in 2009 I felt like something just wasn't right. I still don't feel like it is. After I did that saline ultrasound last year I said I would look into speaking to a fertility specialist in a year. Well, in a few months it will be a year since then (and 2 years off BCP) and I am not ready for it. I don't want to hear that something is wrong. I don't want to hear I that I can't have another kid. I isam trying to come to the realization that that may be the case. Of course I'm jumping the gun on all that but like I have said before (long long ago) there is one thing that happened to me that make me think I may not be able to conceive. Blah, no more babyt talk for me.
