Lots of newbies lately so let's learn a little bit about each other. Plus I've been feeling the travel itch even more strongly than usual, but since I can't go anywhere for a little while I'll have to just talk about fun places

Where else have you lived? For six years I lived in a variety of cities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Met DH out there.
If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? If it weren't for my entire immediate and extended family all being based here, I'd move back to the Bay Area in a heartbeat. Though I love Boston and being around family, I also really miss it out there.
Any plans to leave Massachusetts? Not at the moment, but hopefully someday we'll go back to CA.
Where do you live now? Still southern MA, in the same town I grew up in.

If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? Probably Chicago, San Fran, or Seattle... but I loved Amherst and would move back there in a heartbeat.
Any plans to leave Massachusetts? none. My husband will most likely work in Boston at the same company for the rest of his career, so we will be here.

If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? Louisville, KY. Or MAYBE outside of DC. The COL makes me cringe though. That may be where we wind up for our next move if DH's job says that's where he needs to go. He needs to make a million gazillion dollars though.
Any plans to leave Massachusetts? Already done.
So, where are you from? Middlesex county, MA.
Where do you live now? Still Middlesex county, MA but a half hour from where I grew up.
Where else have you lived? Went to college in Worcester and spent 2 1/2 months in Australia, and rented in another Middlesex county town about 15 minutes from where we are now.
If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? CT since DH is from there and it is still close to family and friends.

Where else have you lived? Framingham, MA for college and on the weekends I would go out to Western MA to visit people so I pretty much lived there.

Where else have you lived? I've always lived in this general area. I've moved around a lot but its always been within a few towns that are around eachother.
If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? Probably NH. Or Maine. I don't ever see us leaving New England.

Any plans to leave Massachusetts? Yes, we're planning on moving "home" to Maine as soon as we can (that won't be for at least a year we're estimating)

Where else have you lived? I was born in FL, moved to NH as a baby, moved to NJ before 2nd grade, moved to PA (Philly area) before 3rd grade, then moved to MA in 8th grade.

Any plans to leave Massachusetts? No. DH was born and raised here and his entire immediate and extended family is here. I have no desire to leave, but he says if the right job opportunity came up, we'd consider moving.
It was awful. The city officials gave you x amount of time to move out of the city or kill your dog yourself. If you didn't, they just came to your house, took your dog, and killed it themselves.
That is why when MA proposed pulling a Denver I was looking at apartments in Nashua and considering just commuting until we figured it out. Thank god that didn't make it through the first hearing.

Where else have you lived? Various MA towns - Agawam, Watertown, West Newton, Quincy, Brighton (for a whopping 3 months due to a psycho hose beast roommate), Weston for college
If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? I'd love to live in the DC area.
Any plans to leave Massachusetts? Not really. We've talked about it, but always found a reason not to pick somewhere. My husband doesn't drive, so we'd need to live somewhere with good public transport, which really limits the options to other cities. So it's kind of a "why bother?" mentality. Though we think we'd like Seattle or Portland (even though we've never been to either).
So, where are you from? I never know how to answer this. Since I live in MA now, I'll say FL. But when I lived in FL, I said MA lol

Where else have you lived? Born in Lowell, grew up in Tewksbury, moved to Orlando, FL when I was 14, went to college in Tampa, worked in Pensacola and Tallahassee, then moved back up to Boston about 10 months ago for DH to start grad school.
If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? My entire family is in FL so I'd move back probably. CA would be nice, too.
Any plans to leave Massachusetts? Yup. Well, maybe. DH has a year long intership after his classes are over and they can send him anywhere, although the majority of places are in MA. So we'll just wait and see. I like the idea of moving whether the wind takes us since we're young and have no kids yet. But I am kind of falling back in love with New England now that the winter is over (I say this as we're expecting a snow storm tomorrow.)

Any plans to leave Massachusetts? On Vacation...This year we will visit family in PA, FL, WI....and hopefully a friend in Boise. To Move...Trying to talk the hubby into heading a little farther south, like North Carolina....won't be for a few years though.

Where do you live now? Near Beacon Hill/MGH. Moving to western MA this summer.
Where else have you lived? I lived in Providence for two years before going to college in PIttsburgh, PA. I've lived for several months in New York City as well.
If you could live in any other state where would it be (realistically, not in some crazy dream world)? I love coastal CONN and RI. There is something about the landscape of ocean meeting forested cliff that really appeals to me. Southern Florida is fun as well, but I wouldn't want to live there full time.
Any plans to leave Massachusetts? Not for a little while. We might be heading to Canada (Ottawa, where DH is from) in a few years.
My husband lived over there when we were first dating. It was so convenient for everything - he walked to work at South Station, and it was much closer for me to get to work in Cambridge on those super early mornings. (I was living in Quincy.) Plus, I loved getting up on the weekend and wandering around the city with a cup of coffee. Oh! And take-out from Antonios - yum!
