Re: Thursday Randoms
How are you?
Morning!
I only had to see 1 quick patient last night for work, then went to Kohls and bought a new pillow. My neck and shoulders have been killing me lately. I invested in a memory foam contoured pillow, so hopefully this helps!
It takes time to get used to them. We have one and keep it on our sofa.

Charity, I'm doing pretty good.
Freeburger, I was waking up with a lot of neck pain a couple of years ago. I bought a memory foam pillow and it worked wonders. Hope yours does too!
It's only me and boss at work - sarcastic yeah.
Ok I am bored and I don't really want to work today.
Good morning, pals. I am computer enabled today. Whee!
I tried to schedule my meeting with the HS girls I work with for tonight (to avoid spring break), but ended up cancelling it. They're all leaving today for spring break. Drat.
Is anyone here a local bird expert? We have a feeder outside of our kitchen window. We get a lot of goldfinches, and a pair birds slightly bigger, but the male has a red head. Anyone know what it might be?
If you posted a picture I'm sure my husband could identify it. We also have a bird book around here but Im not sure where it's at right now.
We get more squirrels than anything on ours. Boo!It's the very exotic (hee hee) house finch. Pretty bird, lovely song, but they keep chasing off the goldfinches.

Haha it is pretty though
We had a giant woodpecker on our little suet block thing the other day, I had never seen one so big!
We also have owls that live in the woods behind our house. We can hear them all the time (they have been going crazy at night!) but have only seen 1 flying. I love owls, so I'm hoping to get a picture of one back there.
Yeah... about that... when did Spring Break become extended by an extra two days? I call BS on that.
Sorry that it interfered with your meeting!
Yeah, I'm kind of grouchy about that. There's a big event that my organization would like them to be at. Unfortunately, it's in the middle of day on a school day. So... I'm getting a lot of emails from the girls saying, "I make the meeting because my family is going on spring break." And then a few phrases later, "I don't think my parents will let me miss a few hours of school for the event." Bah humbug, I say!
RE: birds I would LOVE owls. We have a hawk that lives nearby. One morning, it perched on the porch railing right on the other side of the window. It was 3 feet away from me, but took off the second I moved to grab the camera.
That is so cool!
There is going to be a Woodpecker festival in Middleville at the end of April, you can even attend the Red, White, and Black Ball.
Sorry in advance if I'm repeating myself...I can't remember if I shared this story. I saw a hawk in the tree in our backyard. I told the girls to come over quickly because there was a big bird I wanted to show them. Amelia's ears perked up and her eyes got big and said "Big Bird!! Where, Where?" So I said "No, no honey, not Big Bird, a big bird....uhhh I mean a bird that is big." All the while, Allison is saying Big Bird - let me see.
That's cute! And I can see how she'd be confused.
I'm sorry
A month is too short a time to be glad to be reminded of someone that special. Hug for you, Kasa. Over time, it will be bittersweet more than painful.
Oh don't you love the way kids associate things?! So cute
I can honestly say that only one movie ever gave me nightmares when I was a child. That movie: Big Bird in Japan. I have absolutely no idea why!
Aww, I'm sorry. :-( Andy actually happened to be in NY this week for work, happened to be finished at 12 today but his flight doesn't leave until 6:30, and the Yankees happened to be opening against the Tigers. So he bought tickets last night. I'm just hoping it doesn't get postponed due to weather!
