The Tigers opening day today is bumming me out.  It's making me think a lot about my granpa who passed away last month.  He looooved the Tigers.

A month is too short a time to be glad to be reminded of someone that special.  Hug for you, Kasa.  Over time, it will be bittersweet more than painful.

    Very well said.

    I'm so sorry!

I wish I knew more about my grandpas' interests and the kind of men they were...both passed away when I was young. I'm glad that you got to have so many years with your grandpa and can remember happy things like his love of the Tigers. Smile

    Is it nap time yet?

I wish. I have to go up north tomorrow after work for the weekend and I have so much to do tonight - Laundry, post office, clean out car, Walmart trip, pack, etc. Ugh. I need a nap

  • Thanks, ladies.  I appreciate the support!
  • Man, I think this baby loves kicking.  More often than not I feel kicking, and not the butterfly/goldfish flutter feeling.

Yeah, I can definitely feel baby kick from the outside. Too bad baby doesn't really kick in the evenings right now for Nick to feel.  If baby does kick at night, I'm not quick enough getting his hand there to feel it.

  • My Duh moment...

Setting - credit union, opening bank accout for Mia

Banker - What's your maiden name.

Me  - "mother's maiden name."  Oh...wait! MY maiden name is such and such.

To my credit, my account is set up for some reason that I have to give my mother's maiden name when I go through the drive through, so I'm used to saying that.

    My almost duh moment....

I went to Heidi Christine's salon at Centerpointe several weeks ago. They just closed that location a few weeks later so I got a certificate for a free cut from the person I went to. That was the first time seeing her, so I only know her by her first name.

I called the Ada location to make a new appt and was worried what if there is more than one stylist by that name.

Me - I would like to make an apt with such and such

Receptionist - Ok...what is the last name.

Me- came so close to saying  "I don't know" and then I realized he wanted my last name not hers.

Haha.  I do stuff like that a lot lately.  My brain just doesn't work sometimes!

Really?  I've never heard of that before.

Ha!  I wonder what the receptionist would have said if you said that you didn't know your last name.  That would have been hilarious!

  • Why yes, I do believe I will enjoy a Thin Mint as an appetizer to my afternoon snack. And probably another one for dessert.

This bring back an embarrassing moment memory for me. It was my first day at a temporary job.  A woman walked up to me and said, "Hi! Nice to meet you. My name is Julie." and I said back to her, "Hi. My name is Julie."

Uh - my name is not Julie! I was mortified. What idiot can't introduce herself??

  • Andy just left the game to catch his flight.  My favorite part of hearing how it was there didn't have anything to do with baseball.  It had to do with him attempting to do an NY accent to describe the fans.   I believe his exact words were:

"Ay, I'm from New Yowk, can we get two hot dawgs ova heyah?"

Hearing things like this really make me miss being pregnant :)  Enjoy those kicks!
