I am so tired today. Hopefully I can snap out of my blahness soon.
I have a super busy week ahead. Lots of cleaning and organizing and laundry. Then I need to pack for our trip to Boston/NH. H will be unavailable to help Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings...boo!
The rental house is done! Such a relief to have that sucker finished. I'll have to figure out how I'm going to upload the B & A pics in case anyone is interested.
Re: Monday Blues
Boo... Monday.
Molly, I didn't realize that you were going to Boston/NH quite so soon. Fun! I hope you have good weather. And congrats on getting the new rental done!
Yahoo! Congrats on the house being done!
I also have the Monday blues. Or maybe I'm just in lazy mode because I did not feel like coming to work today.
It's only supposed to be in the mid 40's. Yuck. I wasn't thinking about weather when I booked the trip, and now 1 out of every 3 people on FB have statuses about the 76 degree weather down south and I'm kinda kicking myself! Haha. I know we will still have a great trip. I'm looking forward to seeing new things and just taking a break from our routine. And maybe getting to sleep in once or twice! Hehe.
That stinks, but it will still be nice to get away and relax. When we went to Niagara Falls, it was only about 50 degrees and raining, which is definitely not good weather for seeing the falls! But it worked out fine, since we were able to just relax more and hang out and not have to try to fit all of our sightseeing in.
I'm interested!! I love before and after pics.
I am working on my resume today and it makes my stomach hurt. Making the transition to being a working mom is a little overwhelming to me. Applying for jobs, finding childcare, working out the logistics, etc.
You will definitely have fun even if the weather isn't the greatest.
So, there was a house for sale in our neighborhood and it sold in one week and went for a very good price. This made me feel better about the value of our home.
Good luck! I can believe that would be a little overwhelming.
That is awesome. I'm very much looking forward to seeing the housing market rebound.
My dad put an offer on a house last Thurday. The entire house needs to be completely remodeled. He's surpised it hasn't been condemned yet. His offer? $5,000. It will be interesting to see how the bank responds to that. I'm excited to help (a little) in the remodeling if he does get it.
Wow - it's actually crazy to think someone could buy a house for that amount of money. We don't really intend to sell anytime soon - we could realistically live in this house for the rest of our lives. We might want to move to a walkable area though (probably East Grand Rapids area) some day down the road.
In other news, we watched Inception last night. I thought it was good and interesting - kind of like the Matrix. I didn't really think it was super amazing though - I guess I was expecting more since it was a best pic nominee.
Oh wow - I'm sorry to hear. :-( I hope all goes smoothly for you with the process.
That is very cool!
We have been talking a little about about potentially moving sometime in the future (like, 2-4 years). It's exciting to think about. I feel like we need to answer a couple of big life questions (Do we want to stay in GR? Do we want kids ever?) before seriously considering a new house though.
Ditto. I'm sorry to hear this, Deeder.
I'm sorry to hear this too. (((Hugs)))
And all this time I thought kids were a definite no for you.
It IS exciting to think about moving. The possibilites are endless! Good times.
Nope. Kids are a definite undecided. And they've been a definite undecided for about five years now. Have I ever mentioned that we're slow decision makers?
Say what?! Blaspemy!
Haha.
Ha! For reals.
Thanks girls. It wasn't easy in fact we really don't have a lot of debt. It's mainly the house where the issue is. We've tried everything to keep the house and we just reached a point in the last couple months where we just can't go on with it. The house is falling apart and we can't keep up with it. The bright side to this is we have the chance to get SS into a better school system by moving. So we on the look out for a house/apt to rent in the Walker area.
Ha ha. We were iffy for awhile. But now we're planning on babies at some point. Unless I change my mind again.
Hanging around babies as much as we have been lately definitely makes me want to have kids more. Plus seeing Andy interact with kids makes me want babies because I know he would be the most wonderful, amazing father ever.
DH & I were just discussing what to have for lunch. I said Hot Dogs. I've been craving hot dogs for like a month now. I'm looking forward to the weather warming up since there are 3 hot dog place with in walking distance of the office.
Sorry you have to go through this, but way to be positive! Hope you guy find a great place to settle.
We tried Johnny B'z on Wealthy a couple weekends ago. The hot dogs and buns were grilled instead of steamed. Plus free pinball. We will definitely be back.
I've done the exact same thing with eggplant parmesan.
We bought the All You Can Eat tickets for the Pistons/Bulls game, and I had 2 hotdogs while there! They were really yummy, and I normally don't eat/like hotdogs.
The game was so much fun!
Chalk me up as another non-fan. I actually think I just don't really like eggplant. I'll still eat it, since it comes with our CSA, but I'm just not a big fan. The texture is a little squidgy for me.
