The bump advertisements are getting on my nerves.  No, I don't want to visit the bump baby shop.  Ugh.

Let's limit our knottie talk.  We are nesties now, besides we left TK because we were tired of wedding talk, right?

    Dear Summer,

Is it also a little mean of me to be a little happy that, when I checked TK, it seemed a little slower without us?

    Hahahah....nope, not mean at all.

    Dear Julie,

    I know, it's weird calling myself summer. I mean...what?

Anyway, I don't think it's selfish at all. I think this is what we're supposed to be doing before we have kids-everything we want to do. If not, we'll have kids and look back and think we didn't do anything we wished we had.

I was reading something the other day, I think it came up on TN, actually. It was like "5 signs you're not ready for a baby" and one of them was something like "The thought of not being able to go out to dinner or on last minute vacations depresses you".- Yes, me! me! That's me! And I don't think there's anything wrong with that, honestly. It simply means you're not ready to have a baby.

Oh I need to find that article.  DH and I were at the mall on Sunday and he waited for me while I ran into Macy's.  When I came out he said he saw a family sitting on the bench.  They had just eaten, because the wife had a to go box.  The dad was lifting the little boy up so he could touch the water in the fountain.  DH said that he wasn't thinking oh what a nice family, but instead he was thinking what a pain it would be to have kids and try to go out to eat.  It was so funny.  He said - I was thinking it would limit us to where we could go, what they would actually eat, paying for a kid's meal when they only eat three bites, etc.  We are not ready for kids.  Haha.

  • Where is Tiffany!?!?!
  • In regards to the TTC vs TTC....

many of you know that I laugh every time I see STD because it means something else here than what I used to know it as.

  • Yes, I was just thinking of how slow TK was today.

Lacey - I agree with limited the TK talk, but I did just get married, so I wanted to AW a little bit too!  We're all friends, after all.

  • Dear DH - You have known since, I don't know...forever that we would have to file our taxes this year. Yet you have waited until this week and now you are mad because I can't find a reasonably priced tax person. You waited. You told me not to nag you that you would take care of it. Now this is somehow on me to fix. I have one W-2 and nothing else, you have the cluster-eff of tax mess. I am annoyed. - Your loving wife Leslie

  • Dear Brianna,

I don't think Joanne and Sara were referring to you AW-ing your photos. Everyone likes wedding photos.

I think it was more us talking about stuff that happened on TK. Nobody knows what happened besides us, so to them, they can't join that conversation. I think it was more that.

    LMAO.

Hi Brianna - I completely understand your AW today.  :)  I meant more along the lines of what Summer said re: old TK drama.  Yes, we are friends.

ETA: Besides it would be silly  of me if I was referring to you AWing your pics, since I have been FB stalking you since you got married for a sneak peek.  ;)

Ok good, I was a little sad no one wanted my wedding talk!

  • Dear Nesties,

I am still having trouble manuevering here.

I'll just say one thing and then move on.  I do not like to fight or have heated political discussions or discuss racism IRL with my BFFs so why would I want to do it on a wedding forum?  Nor do I like to be mean or petty.  All that talk about "we're not always nice, sitting around a campfire" is a bunch of baloney.  It's not what I went there for. I graduated high school a long time ago and don't care to go back.

Plus if I heard one more person say they couldn't afford their wedding, I was going to go crazy.  I do still love weddings though.  I can't wait for Lauren, Bobbie and Sarah. et al. to get over here.

Yes ! I love wedding pics and asked in another thread to see them. I just am lost on all the gossip from TK and sort of feel like the clique from there just moved over here and I still feel totally left out. :(

    Dear Jaymi,

I like using your real name since I've known it forever.  As to The Office, there are some that I just like watching the beginning to.  #1:  when they hide Dwight's desk.  #2:  when they put all of Dwight's desk stuff in the vending machine.  #3:  when Jim dresses and acts like Dwight.

    Dear Nesties (shivers),

Why don't we just refer to ourselves as "OMH"?

It's a little weird seeing my name but I remember when I first came to TK and even up until I was married I was really freaked out that "someone" would find me.  IDK why because I wasn't lying or anything but she stalks in real life so why not the internet?  I was seriously scared to death she would find me.  Then it was kind of dumb because I have a bio and even though they don't really show our faces, if you know us and our pictures you would know it was me. Now I don't really care so much.

I was reading a website yesterday dedicated to The Office and it has a page about the pranks pulled, where I read about Dwight's desk stuff in the vending machine.  I had some really good laughs.

I can't do nesties anymore because it reminds me of t- yeah.  Ladies or OMH it is.

Nope, we do not want to be the 'clique'.  We are all OMHs together.  Please do not feel left out.

Nooooooo....I can't speak for everyone else, but that's not how I wanted it to come across when we moved over here at all. That was what I wanted to avoid. We want everyone to feel open to posting on here! We wanted to get away from the drama and some of the people who liked to cause drama on TK.

So, please don't feel that way. :) I (again, can't speak for everyone) like everyone :)

See now that's what I'm dealing with. I created an alias, alias name behind this name, and don't have pictures or anything because I'm afraid someone will find out we moved over here and come start trouble again. And I don't want that.

Also, I teeter between, ok, do I want to feel like I'm in an open environment where I can vent and talk about things in my life and use this as an outlet to people who I've grown to consider my friends? And if so, I guess it is best to stay incognito. But then, I like having pictures, and people using my real name. But, if I'm b*tching about my SIL one day, I don't want it to somehow find its way back to her.

That's what I'm struggling with. Because although I think how it came across on TK was totally wrong and demeaning, there was a point and I get that.

    Thoughts?

  • Tiffany was on the phone with Verizon for over an hour demanding answers.   To which after they "received" the fax I sent them I was promptly disconnected.

I'm really seriously considering just filing a suit at the courthouse.  Is that bad?  At least I could get a competent person to get in contact with me if I did.

I would just cancel but they are gonna charge me fees galore (I have to hold up to my end of the bargain, even though they don't have to hold up to theirs, apparently).

Not referring to your pics at all.  I was happy to see them.  I just meant the drama, like pimping out your apartment for "scratch."

Oh what a pain!  We have Verizon Fios, but have never had an issue with them.

  • Lacey - The service itself is fantastic so far....they just won't give me the price they agreed to when I signed up (...and since I signed a 2 year agreement its a pretty big deal).    I'm talking a $60/month difference here.

    Thank goodness for printed documentation.
