We should resurrect the south of Boston GTG idea
I just watched Phantom Gourmet so I've got restaurants I want to visit on the brain. I'm looking for an excuse to go to any of the following places:
Yard House in Dedham (I went when I was KU and barely ate because I didn't feel good)- American, pub
Tavolino in Foxboro (Same story as Yard House)- pizza
Wicked in Dedham- pizza
Jalepenos in Walpole- Mexican
Bamboo in Dedham- Chinese, Japanese and sushi
OK. Any other suggestions? Like Braintree... The only restaurants I know in Braintree are Cheesecake and Rock Bottom. I think I should eat lunch... it'll help me to stop thinking about food.
Re: We should resurrect the south of Boston GTG idea
Rock Bottom has been gone for a while now -- sad -- but there's a new Japanese steakhouse in its place! We also have Joe's American Bar & Grille, TGIFridays, Chili's and Chateau...
I could go for anywhere in Dedham though... I've been to the YardHouse only for apps and they were awesome.

Haha, well you can tell it has been quite a while since I've been to the area!
Hmm... The Chateau has great chicken parmesan and good bread, I've been to the one in Norwood. Oh, and they same owners opened up an American restaurant called Jake and Joe's in Norwood and I've heard it's great.
I hear the Yard House is always packed, so if there's a lot of interest then they might not even have room for us... I don't know about weeknights there, though.
I would do Dedham but Walpole and Braintree are kind of a pain. But I'd only be able to do that on a weekend and I know we usually do weekday GTGs. So, basically, don't base anything on me but I'll come if I can once you guys set something up!
And the other GTG seems to have died on the vine again. The Nestie who started that thread didn't follow through. I think I'll feel more motivated to organize once the weather's nicer.
I wanna come *whine whine whine*
How about maybe next time I am up there on bidness? Maybe Rock and I can meet up and come together since I am carless when there.
I love the idea of Braintree!
The CF is awesome!
I could do a Sunday night!

Me too! (Usually)
For sure the second week of June. Likely the first-ish week of May but bosslady hasn't confirmed that yet.
Ok, well, since Rock can't come to Dedham on a weekday, we should plan a Newton GTG when you are!
Okeeee!!!
I veto the Cheesecake Factory idea. Or, at least, if you plan one there I won't be coming. The last time we had a GTG at a CF we ended up waiting something like an hour for a table even though we had a reservation. We swore never again after that (though we did get a bunch of free apps out of it).
I'm down for a Sunday night though.
And I'm definitely in for a Newton GTG next time Punky's in town. Hopefully I'll have my own car back by then!
Sorry, that was me. Life has gotten kinda hectic the past couple of weeks and I haven't had any free time to check into any places yet. If someone else would be willing to plan, I'd love to come and I would be more than willing to reciprocate once things in my life slow down. Again, so sorry!
Oh no. I don't *do* cheesecake factory. Rock is right, the last time we went there for a GTG it was ridic!
There is a good chinese place in Newton...what is the name of it....someone? Anyone?
What part of Newton? Jumbo Seafood in Newton Center?
Hahaha, totally different type of cuisine
That's OK, it happens. Not like I'm the one making any plans either so who am I to complain?

Who considers Dedham south of Boston?
It might be south on the map but 'IRL,' it's west.
LOL
Umm ok?
Heehee
You really took the tme to quote my post and write that meaningless response.
That's just..................'um sad.'
You are sad, and all of your responses are meaningless.
