I am glad for the Lady Aggies, but holy clogged up Facebook feed Batman! Who knew there were that many Aggies fans on my friend's list - I have a feeling there were a few bandwagoners.
I was done with college basketball on Saturday. I loved Shaka Smart, so when VCU was out, I was out.
Re: Advisers - Yeah, they suck and I think they do understand they are messing with your life. They just see so many students they don't give you as much attention as you pay for.
I have to take a Biology 1 lab this Summer because when I was initally advised as a Freshman the adviser didn't sign me up for the lab. I was 18 and had never gone to college before. I had no idea I was supposed to take lecture and lab and by the time I figured it out there were no open labs. I am totally TCC-ing it though. No way I am paying UTA tuition for that.

Holy Crap!! What a small world!
Today I feel like I ate a salt block last night. My shirt is tight when it normally isn't. I had to force my rings on this morning. I feel very swollen. And what is DH's first reaction? "Hmmm...maybe you're..." Shut up. Yeah. So very frustrating. Our diet has changed drastically in the last 3 months and yet I feel like I am not losing a darn thing. We walked and climbed stairs for an hour last night.
Summer- Have you considered TWU? I have to deal with the pre-reqs all the dang time. I don't know UTA's "system" but ours does not recognize half the pre-reqs entered so it has to be done manually which is quiet frustrating on every end. What about contacting the department that your course will be in directly and see if they will manually add you to the course?

I hate college advisors, I never went to mine, I just figured it out along the way. But, Summer I know you have to see yours, etc.
I like listening to BS on the radio, but I went to her Circus tour concert and you're gonna hate me, but I thought it sucked. She used to be a fabulous performer. And well, not so much at the concert I attended. She seemed kind of zombie like.
My SN is also celebrity-like. That's why it's so weird.

Also I thought Summer was the Summer who got married in 2009 and then just vanished. It took me awhile to realize it wasn't.
My cousin was approved for graduation, walked and then was told when he went to pick up his diploma weeks later that he actually needed one more credit. UTA is seriously the worst.
ETA: I have completely screwed up my signature and have tried to add an avatar. It seemed like it worked but now is not showing up, so who knows?

I get that. My point was that sometimes they are so formulaic and in the zone that they don't take the time to truly understand "Hey, this situation is different and I need to spend a little more time on this case."
I used to love Madonna, love her but now, I won't listen to anything of hers that came out after 1996. And, Britney, blah. Her song choices are about as bad as Rhianna's and I just don't think there's much right with a group of 14 year old girls singing along with a song about group sex. But, hey, that's just me.

I don't really have a lot to say today except that Saturday we drive to Galveston and Sunday we leave on our cruise! I'm so ready for 7 days of sun, no work, no responsibilities, and no playing mommy (i know I'm a horrible step mom but DH and I never really got to have us time after the wedding so this is our time!!!)
Also thanks to all the wonderful recs on TK my sisters and I have set up b-pics with Chelsea for the end of May. I'm so excited!!!
This. Also, I really enjoy the more relaxed conversation over here and that we can help each other with real world things not just WR things. Sort of loving moving over to the Nest.
