Hello everyone! It's been a while since I had a TTC Check In. I figured people were getting sick of these check ins, especially every week. If people are still interested in it, I might change it up to every two weeks. That way it will be less redundant!
How has everyone been doing?
Where are you in your cycle?
Anyone testing soon?
Have you told anyone you are TTC?
Any new approaches you are thinking of taking with TTC?
Any updates?
Need to biitch about TTC? Haha.
Questions?

Re: TTC Check In :)
How has everyone been doing? I have been doing better lately. The start of this new cycle was really hard for me. I have never been weepy about TTC until AF started. I think it was a combination of knowing that I had passed the 1 year mark of TTC and 2 under 2 is no longer an option. But, I am 8 days into my cycle and I have a much better attitude. Thankfully!
Where are you in your cycle? I am on CD8
Anyone testing soon? Other than OPKs that I will start in the next few days, nope
Have you told anyone you are TTC? I have started becoming A LOT more open about TTC. If people ask, I just tell them what is going on. IDK, I guess it isn't bothersome for me to have people know that we have been struggling TTC. And surprisingly people aren't bombarding me with updates. I guess because they tread lightly since it hasn't been easy!
Any new approaches you are thinking of taking with TTC? This month I have decided to take Clomid. I am hoping this will be the kick start we need to get me ovulating soon, with a stronger O and I will in turn get KU. Although, I am a tad nervous about the thought of multiples, even if the chances are relatively low.
Any updates? Other than the Clomid, no.
Need to biitch about TTC? Haha. Oh gosh, I don't want to be a Debbie Downer and I hate that TTC has made me so negative. Like I said earlier, this one year mark is a hard pill to swallow. Especially because I "should" be about half way through the pregnancy I lost in December. But I keep telling myself that wasn't the right baby, the baby I am destined to have is worth waiting for.
Questions? Nope, none for me. I feel like I know waaayyyyy to much about TTC!

The every other week plan sounds good.
How has everyone been doing? I'm doing alright, thanks. It's been a crazy busy week & it's not slowing down til next Tuesday. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
Where are you in your cycle? My cycle's F'd up this month. I've usually O'd by now, but am pretty sure I haven't yet. My chart is all over the place.
Anyone testing soon? I don't think so.
Have you told anyone you are TTC? Everytime I speak to my grandmother on the phone, she asks if I'm calling to say I'm KU. I tell her the same thing every time. She forgets.
Any new approaches you are thinking of taking with TTC? Pretty soon (maybe in a couple of months) we'll be switching into high gear TTC (b/c of the new job). As of now, we've been taking a casual approach to TTC even though I've been charting.
Any updates? I don't think so.
Need to biitch about TTC? Haha.
Questions? Anyone want to look at my chart?
My Ovulation Chart
This was last month's (I had a cold the day I O'd. My temp usually doesn't spike that much)
Last monthThis is the opposite of TTC.. but I haven't really told anyone (bc it's not a big deal)..but I want to tell someone (besides chris). I actually am going to start birth control again after being off it for almost a year.
We decided we are going to wait a few more years before we talk about TTC. I feel good about the decision ..you guys know i've been on the fence about the whole TTC thing anyways.
I don't know what changed in Chris' head, but he's been telling me for a few months that he doesn't know if he wants (or is ready) for kids.
I'm not scared that anyone is going to be mad. My Mom knows how I feel about kids so it won't come as a surprise to her.. but Chris' family.. They've been ready for us to have a baby since before we were married.. His brother makes the most comments.
How has everyone been doing? Good! Second cycle TTCAL
Where are you in your cycle? waiting to O
Anyone testing soon? nope
Have you told anyone you are TTC? A few close friends know I?m pretty open as well.
Any new approaches you are thinking of taking with TTC? Last month I charted for the 1st time it was very interesting not sure if I will continue but it was good to experience. Now I?m just using my opk?s.
Any updates? Nothing yet!
Need to biitch about TTC? Haha. Ugh I naively had my hopes way up last cycle, I just want it to happen now!
Questions? Nope!
Hmm, I am not a charting expert by any means but I say you haven't O'd yet. And maybe I am wrong but I don't see a clear shift last month either, your temps are all really close the the cover line. But again, I suck at reading charts and luckily mine are really easy to see a clear shift. However, my temps have been all over the place this month due to the clomid. Sucks
Maybe someone else will chime in with a better answer. All I can say is hang in there!

I think one of the best decisions I made was waiting to have kids. I didn't have Macy until I was 28. It was nice to have most of our 20's to do all the things we wanted to. And I didn't have to feel guilty about being selfish! I am glad that you are both on the same page and you'll will know when it's time!

Where are you in your cycle? CD7
Anyone testing soon? nope
Have you told anyone you are TTC? My parents and our siblings know
Any new approaches you are thinking of taking with TTC? yup
Any updates? I called my insurance company this morning to see what type of fertility treatments are covered. Looks like we have good insurance. I'm working up the courage to call and setup an appointment with a RE. I know it needs to be done, but it feels, to me, like I'm admitting defeat. I need to suck it up and deal with it, because it's what needs to be done.
Need to biitch about TTC? I don't feel like I need to ***, but like Kathy, I just feel sad - and wish I hadn't waited so long to start TTC.
Questions?

Thanks for looking. Weird huh? What do you suppose that means?
How's the clomid going?
I know what you mean! At first I was relieved I was prescribed the clomid, then I had a mini freak out and didn't want to take it, which was shocking. I think I freaked because of all the "what ifs" I had. What if clomid doesn't work? Then what? I always kept clomid in the back of my mind as a last ditch effort. I have never really thought about what will happen if clomid doesn't do the trick. Ugh. I still don't want to think that far in advance!

Try to look at it this way. The RE is only going to help you reach your goal. You're adding reinforcements to your TTC journey. You're not defeated yet.
I just realized I got *** by the nest gods ...

Believe me, I am no MD, but I think I read some where that temps close to the coverline could be an indicator of low progesterone. But that being said, I have seen plenty of charts on FF that ended with pregnancy even when temps are close to the coverline, like yours. So it could mean totally nothing too! And again, I have no medical training so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Just cause I have access to the internet, doesn't mean I really have any knowledge!
The clomid is going ok! The side effects have been minimal, but I have noticed that I am a *tad* moodier. Luckily, those moments are only momentary! I will be interested to see if I O any earlier this cycle or not.

I forgot to tell you guys that the Star Goddess on 94.1 told me I'd be KU by July 1! Do I think it's silly to have my hopes up that she's right? Yes. But do I have my hopes up? Yes! Lol.
If nothing by then, I will maybe go back to my RE. Ugh, just now finally paying the $1600 for all my testing done last fall. I don't want to go back to him and pay for more sht!
I totally understand. Just looking for some speculation. I already think there's something wrong with me from the m/c before... although it's all in my head. My dr. thinks it was just a flook.
GL with the clomid. I hope it works quickly for you.
July 1?! I am hoping she is right! And YIKES about the $1,600 bill. I think that's why I am putting all my hope into the clomid working, I don't see my H being very understanding about making the switch to an RE and all the fees it will entail. As it is, he says he is fine with only one baby and is not willing to go through great lengths for a second. He doesn't have the same urgency as I do!

WHAT!!! did you call or see her??? I have my hope sup for you too!!
Thanks! I called and got on the air and talked to her! It was so exciting, I had always wanted to see what she'd say about my situation. She always sounds so freaking confident about everything, so it's easy to believe in her...
From what I gather, I think it's pretty easy to fix. I *think* they will just prescribe you progestrone pills. And that could have very been what went wrong with your miscarriage, since progestrone is needed to sustain pregnancy.
Also, I am going in on the 19th of this month for my CD 21 bloodwork. From this blood work they will be able to tell if I ovulated. If I did ovulate, my progestrone levels should be over 15 (since I am on clomid). If I were not on clomid, a good progestrone reading would be anything over 10. So maybe you could request some blood work from your doctor once you get your insurance squared away?

So this is something my regular OB/GYN can handle right? I don't need to see an RE for that, do I? Do I just call up & say 'hey, I need an appt. I don't think I'm Oing?' GAH! Why does everything have to be so complicated?
Yeah, your regular OB can handle that. If it were me, I would call the nurses line and ask what her take is on what's going on. I would tell her you are interested in getting some bloodwork done because you have a hunch your progestrone levels are off. Chances are she will have you schedule an appointment. GL!

I might stop by the dollar store to get some tests so I dont waste it if its BFN lol
DO IT
Agreed.
I have been MIA, but wanted to join in. Good luck to everyone else
How has everyone been doing? CD 4 today. I thought for sure last cycle was it. I had every phantom symptom you could think of! Anyone testing soon? NoHave you told anyone you are TTC? A few close friends (maybe 3) and that's all. Haven't even told the family.Any new approaches you are thinking of taking with TTC? My OB suggested we BD every other day from CD 5 until the end of my cycle. I haven't tried it yet b/c I feel like we have to BD every day around O, but we are doing it this month. A girl I work with tried the idea and got KU! She's been TTC one month longer than Dh and I, so hoping this is it!Need to biitch about TTC? Just getting frustrating! I want to know what is taking so long.Questions? Do you BD every day or every other?
That is one of my biggest issues...I HATE when a new medicine/treatment doesn't work because that just means I am moving one step closer to running out of options and I hate to think about that. Buy luckily you are just at the beginning so hopefully the clomid alone will do the trick. GL!!
