Our girls' soccer team is one game away from going to state next weekend!!!
Last night, we picked up the house because my dad is coming to stay with us on Friday night. My goal is to get it in order for a cleaning service to come every two weeks. I found a reputable company that is about a third of the cost of Merry Maids.
Care to share? I keep trying to convince DH that we should hire a maid service ONCE a year to do the spring cleaning, things like baseboards and such that I dread!

My AW is that I'm just really lucky to have my DH. He's so good to me.
My friend was venting to me the other day about her DH, and he's just so crappy to her. And it made me even more thankful that I married such a great guy.

I put this in the other thread, but I am down 27 pounds. I weigh now what I did when I met my DH.
Yesterday when we were running I was joking with my friend and singing (ok, yelling) "Against the Wind" to her while we were - appropriately - running against the wind. 6 weeks ago I couldn't even run 30 seconds without being winded - now 8 minutes into a run I am singing and keeping pace.
I paid off my car!!
Yesterday I left my phone at home and I just thought, oh well, I'll survive. But then, to my surprise, Courts brought it to me at work! I never even told him I forgot it! He's so nice
Also, I'm super excited about my SIL's baby shower in Saturday. I'm so excited to be an aunt again I can hardly stand it, and now I have a good excuse to browse the baby section!

When I paid off the wedding, DH goes "what will you spend money on now??" I was SO EXCITED when I could say "yay! we're saving!!"

We have been working on our savings and recently have discussed paying our mortgage off sooner than the 30 yr term...I'm only 22 yrs old and have lived in my home since Sept. 2008, and we have a 2006 Dodge Ram truck that we paid off in like 2 yrs....I am a HUGE nerd I guess haha
Molly Maids was just at $100 for every two weeks but I didn't like the snottiness that I got from them. I had them over in the middle of Mom being in the hospital and things were pretty cluttered. She just looked at everything with such disdain. However, this was the one in Lewisville so others in other areas may be much nicer in regards to clutter.
However, we are going to go with Cottage Care. We won't have them clean the two smaller bedrooms for right now, but they quoted me $95 for every two weeks back before Mom died (and all hell broke loose). They use ecologically/pet friendly cleaners (Merry Maids did too) but they also give a small portion of their proceeds to some charity for Africa. I don't remember exactly what it is but I was impressed when I saw the flyer. They seemed a lot nicer over the phone than the Molly Maid lady did in person.
That so would have bugged me. You are hiring her to clean, not judge.
