Re: H&F Thursday
As of right now my workout schedule is:
6 days a week
Cardio on Tuesday and Thursday for at least 2 miles
Strenght Training both arms and legs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with at least 1/2 a mile jog to warm up
Day 6 is a freebie of whatever I "feel" like doing for working out
and everyday (of the 6 workout days) I do abs for at least 10-15 mins
Oh, no! I mean doing the Couch to 5k program. She has been running intervals for 4 weeks now. I just meant the transition to 20 minutes is easier than it sounds.
Ditto. Even though it was just by about 10lbs or so. I still think it was because I was drinking heavier for the year leading up to my wedding. Once I cut the alcohol, it didn't take much time at all.
But regardless, I am right there with ya. One of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of my wedding pictures. My photog was amazing, and pictures are amazing. I just hate the way I look.
What is this?
Chelsea-
Off topic, but is that one of your E-pics in your siggy, or did you have them made after the wedding?
E-Pic...has to be my favorite shot of DH and I...like EVER! haha
I eat salad for lunch... like 4 times a week.
That's healthy right??
Bio
From what I understand, which is not a lot, is that it's a probiotic and the good bacteria for your intestine to give you good gut flora and fauna.
I've been trying to be good! From our wedding to about New Years I gained 10 pounds!! I had stopped running for the most part and still was eating like I was training.
Got my butt back in gear and have been running again. I'm attempting 3 half marathons 3 months in a row.
March 27= RnR Half. Check! Did it faster than I thought and was able to run the entire time. yea!
April 10 = Big D Half. It's this Sunday and I'm nervous. This is the full marathon I did last year and it was tough. Not as much fun as the RnR with little crowd support.
May 1 = OKC Half. I'm doing this with my sister so hopefully it'll go well.
All you ladies can totally run a 5k, 10k whatever if you stick to training. I was always the chubby bunny of the family and never thought I could do it, but now I'm in all kinds of fun races.
If anyone in the Dallas/Richardson/Plano area wants to start a running group to meet on Saturdays I'll help coordinate. I love running with people and we can set our own times!
This would be awesome!! And maybe we can all do a 5K together at the end of the year. I'm doing the White Rock Lake one on November 6th
Sorry I'm butting in today! :-p But are you going to do the Urban Race this year?

Natural Cycle (8/7/13)- BFP! Beta #1 (9/10/13): 509 Progesterone: 18.64 Beta #2 (9/12/13): 1118
Details on what this is please?!
@ SparklingDiamond - We're planning on it. I think it's on October 15th so we should be in town. It was suck a blast and one of the few sport activities DH and I can do together. He is definitely NOT a runner!!! Are you guys?
@Chelsea - Yea! I've run with Team in Training and Luke's Locker and they're both great but they meet at 7am in the winter and 6am in the Summers. I hate getting up that early on Saturdays. I've run enough and trained enough (and there are tons of free training programs) that I totally think we can form our own group that doesn't meet before the sun rises on weekends.
Yes, we are planning on doing it. Maybe we can actually find you guys this year!
:-) I did look for you last year, but there was so many people there!
Chelsea- It's a race that is also a scavenger (sp?) hunt. So you have clues and you have to run all over the city and find them and you want to try and be the first team back. It was in Ft Worth last year and its in Dallas this year. It was a lot of fun! www.greaturbanrace.com

I want to do this! It sounds fun!! How much do I have to run, though?
Jaymi - I will have to look into this.
Anna - I can just see you yelling at the BB Friends-style "We were on a break!!"
Chelsea - If you can run/walk 2 miles right now C25k will be easy for you, especially during the first few weeks - you might even feel like you need to do more.
LOL, Lacey, you almost died walking 3 miles with us.
If you play it smart, you won't have to do much running. We actually walked most of it and still got a fairly good place in the rankings. You are also allowed to use public transportation to get to certain places. You do it in teams of 2, but you can still work together in groups.

At the Great Urban Race, we just took the bus once but it ended up being slower than running. My DH isn't a runner but his competitive side came out. I think we finished in the top 60 and ran maybe 5-7 miles total but it wasn't constant. You had to stop to do that tasks and solve the clues.
I'm so excited its in Dallas this year. I didn't realize it was in Ft. Worth last year until 3 days before! I don't know Ft. Worth at all!!
Jumping in!...
This is my first week of C25K. Today will be my 3rd day. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. The only thing is that my left shin has been killing me for 2 days. I think I overdid it on day 1. I used to enjoy just running on a treadmill, but hadn't in years. I'm really excited to get in the swing of it again. I was wondering about where to go for running shoes, so all of your suggestions are awesome! This post has motivated me a lot! To bad I'm at work, or else I'd be outside jogging. My goal is to do a 5K this summer. We'll see!
My FI is from Ft Worth but neither of us really knew our way around! I am so happy its in Dallas this year! Maybe I will be able to do it faster! :-)

I had two Snickerdoodles yesterday from Tiff's. That pretty much sums up my week.
I have GOT to change my diet. I think my workouts are good but my diet sucks and since we got married, I eat so late at night since Ben doesn't get home until 8:30. But after stepping on the scale last night for the first time in awhile, I am vowing to change.
April is hard for me since it's my birthday, my mom's and my sister's. We're going to Gloria's tonight for my mom and I am vowing not to even touch the chips and salsa.
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
When I first started my legs were hurting so bad I almost had to stop. I kept reading online that good running shoes would change my life, but thought it was BS. I bought some and it really did. Good luck with C25k!
Leslie - lol, that's definitely the type of off/on relationship we have right now
Re: Great Urban Race
A couple weeks ago my sister, her boyfriend and I did the Gorilla Race, which is similar. It was so fun! We walked the whole time, but we weren't concerned about our ranking. We're so not the competitive types.
