Re: Confessions

  • Yum to Chuy's.  I had pot belly - and I should have gotten a skinny sandwich.

I get off at 3 on Fridays and rarely do I leave at 3.

I NEVER leave when I'm supposed to... literally never.

    I confess that:

1.) I am like the ONLY person that doesn't like Chick fil a

I do not like it either.

I confess that I treated myself to a Chuy's margarita swirl at lunch... and this afternoon is much better than this morning!

    Lucky!

  • So I confess that I am feeling a little bit cocky right now now that I've finally been able to talk to my boss.  He's been getting more complaints (aside from mine) about my old boss and I found out she's been complaining about me to him as well.  Then we had a work session between him, my other coworker and I and it was decided she is the one in charge of completing a few tasks that she has been giving me hell for over the last few months and he was not happy when I told him that I found out yesterday she told our IT guy to route the main line to my phone.  Monday ought to be interesting.

It's supposed to be a 'perk', too.  My boss leaves at 3, though.  Haha.  One day.  Let's add that to my goals: I would like to leave at 3 on Fridays.  :)

Haha... that's one of my 'perks' too... somehow, all of the crap gets piled on at 2:30 while they're wrapping up for the day!

Yes, same here.  They always say - Is there any way you could have this done by Monday?  Um... sure.  And then when they are leaving for the day they always say something about how we never take advantage of the perks.  Really?!  :)

Their Mambo Taxi's are hella strong!! To be honest though, I am not really impressed with Mi Cocina's, I think the food is mediocre and over priced....my Mojito's with $10 each!!!!! That was a one and only one time trip to that restaurant

I feel this way about every chain "Mexican" place.  None of the food is any good and the booze is always overpriced.  Give me a seedy, mom-and-pop, hole in the wall Mexican place with grandma cooking the food in the back and cousin Johnny making me the strongest margarita known to man for $2.   Just don't drink the water :(

If you really mean this...there is a GREAT mexican food place that is a hole in the wall called El Taquito Cafe (5427 East Grand Avenue, Dallas, TX 75223). Their food is so authentic and cheap. And if you like HOT hot sauce they have the best I've ever tasted!!

I love El Taquito on East Grand, and you are so right it is really authentic.

  • My brother just called me and asked if I wanted to go to the NASCAR race tomorrow night.  I really would but I offered up Bill so that I could have the house to myself.

    And....

I'm finding the quoting to be a bit much to go through here on TN.  It just slows down my ability to read to what the OMH is actually posting.

I totally have the same problem.   Except I don't get to leave early persay..... it's just that I can sit here for hours and have next to nothing to do...and then 30 minutes before I'm ready to leave the floodgates open.

  • I confessed I laughed a bit and thought "How?!?" when an acquaintance of an acquaintance passed the nuke test for the navy yesterday when it took her 3 times to pass college algebra, and then only with a 71.  8(9+6)= made her cry.  Also does she not realize she will have to live away from mommy for extended periods of time?  She does not have a very good track record of living on her own nor keeping her mind set on one thing for very long.  She shells lots of money into things and then abandons them left and right.  I'm looking forward to what her next aspirations are in life- that should be in 2 months.

But by then it'll be too late to leave the navy, right? Or maybe I don't know how it works. But it would suck to join the navy then decide you didn't want to do it after all.

Yes.  My friend has had 2 sons in the navy and it's not some place you can leave because you don't like it and want to go home.  You sign a contract, you are stuck from what I understand.

  • I confess that since I'm not on during the day anymore, I feel really detached from everything that's going on here. *sad face*
