What have you been doing this week?

Absolutely nothing.  Unless you count shopping and putting those stupid undergarments on.  I was going to start Chalean on Monday but we got home really late and then my grandma came down so it is not even on my radar right now, sadly.

  • Other than walking on the beach (which actually requires some effort) we havent done much.  Surprisingly I havent been too bad with the eating since we have been here.  It hasnt been great but not as bad as I thought it would be.

  • I have been doing great...other than going to Gloria's last night and inhaling two Mojitos, chips and black bean dip, and a HUGE Chimichanga covered in cheesy goodness....

Other than THAT, I'm doing great! hahaha Wink

  • AFter the Big D half on Sunday, I was sore so today will be my first day back at the gym.  Turns out the shoes I was wearing weren't helping me stop my ankle roll and I have the start of post tib tendonitus.  The shoes did get me to run correctly but I wore them too long.  Going to dr on Monday to officially get checked out.

So yea for new running shoes next week!

  • I've been eating better all week.  Been to Body Pump as usual and even went on a short run yesterday.

    Progress...at least.

  • Gaining 2 pounds. For no reason.

Diet has been fine, workouts fine. No idea. Very frustrating.

  • I have not done well.  Remember the one time last week I did yoga?  Yeah, haven't done anything since then.
  • BodyPump Monday, 24 Set yesterday and will do 24 Lift tomorrow and probably BodyPump again Saturday.  I have added 15 minutes/100 calories on the treadmill 3x a week (but missed it Monday).  Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to walk at all at lunch this week.  Eating is OK--I do fine breakfast and lunch, it's that late dinner that's killing me I think.  I haven't seen any change in a realllly long time.
  • I eat a bigger breakfast so lunch is lighter but I'm dying to eat by 5 PM.  So I have a snack, sometimes a salad (sometimes not a salad) and then eat dinner with Bill when he gets home after 6:30 PM which means dinner is at 7 PM.  I get acid reflux so bad if I eat that close to bedtime (which averages to 10 PM).  I think we're going to have to start eating apart.  I just can't do it that late.

    Wow, go Stephie!

  • Hi, Kind of newbie here (ok, really I am WAY old, but I don't know a lot of you guys). I do hot Yoga usually 5 days a week, but my little one was sick this week, so I have only gone twice this week, but I had awesome classes both times.  I think I can get in at least two more classes this week (hopefully).  If I could lose 10 more pounds I would feel awesome!

Hi!  Your baby is super cute - that is a really cute picture in your siggy.  How do you like hot yoga?

  • This is my 2nd week of C25K & eating (mostly) vegetarian. So far, I've lost 5 pounds (with like, 50 more to go). My knees are sore today from last night's run. But, I still feel great. DH is doing a different diet/workout plan than I am, so we eat different things for dinner & a lot of times he's working late so I have to fend for myself. It's forced me to kind of teach myself how to cook (Chris can make a delicious meal out of dirt, I can barely toast bread).

  • I've worked out everyday this week and have also eaten healthy. But, I will probably eat really bad this Saturday when we celebrate my DH's birthday at Mi Cocina.

Hi Shanda!!!!  So glad to see you!  Kira is ADORABLE! I can't believe she's so big!

Do you go to Sunstone?  I go to the Flower Mound and Southlake locations.  I'm doing good to make it 3x a week, but I love it.

How is your school year going?

Well, this is my routine every week, plus walking at lunch, but I'm not seeing results.  I probably need to add more cardio but I'm just too dang tired!

  • Cardio is my vice too... so I'm working running in as much as I can.   I'm just exhausted lately too though, so its hard.

Have you tried increasing your weight?   I do 3x per week and I have to increase even if its a little baby weight fairly frequently or it gets easy.

I just upped my weight once I could get through the series without stopping.  I've probably only been doing it a month or two and it's still hard for me!  I should probably add cardio on Tuesday and Thursday but it's kickboxing or cycle and I am drenched when I leave the gym, then I have to come straight to work.  P.U.

  • This week I did:

    Mon - EA Active 2 for Wii - 45 min / Weigh training arms - 30 min, Tue - 45 minutes walk/run, Wed - EA Active 2 for Wii - 45 min / Weight training legs - 30 min

    I am planning:

    Today - 45 minutes walk/run, Friday - EA Active 2 for Wii - 45 min / Weight training - 30 min, Saturday - walk/run - 45 min, Sunday - rest day

Haven't broken 1300 calories all week, keeping each day below 35 grams of fat.

  • Well, I still haven't gotten back to the gym, but the eating is slowly improving. I do plan on going to work out tonight. I have nothing pressing on my to-do list and no other commitments, so there's nothing stopping me (besides laziness). I also hope to go tomorrow before work so I can go straight from work to the GTG. And I really want to go to kickboxing on Saturday. I love that class, but I haven't been in so long, I'm scared it's going to be even harder than I remember.

Hey Tiffany do you really like body pump?  I was thinking of doing it, but the 24 hour by my house is jam packed after work.  Its alittle intimidating!

  • I love hot yoga!!  My OB wouldn't let me do it while I was pregnant, so I had to go to the yoga at 24 hour, and it just wasn't the same.

Hi Shannon! Yes, I go to Sunstone, i usually go to the Frisco studio, but I will sometimes go to Plano or McKinney.

School year is  pretty good, I am hoping my job doesn't get cut.  Our district has like plan A, B, C and D and one of them includes cutting reading improvement.

How's your year, are you still teaching at two schools?

  • Valerie - I love it!  I took the classes at my old gym a few years ago and I was beyond excited when it came to 24 Hr. I've been to 24 LIFT, 24 Set, Bootcamps, and the LA Fitness weight classes too and nothing works for me like Body Pump does.   As for the crowd, I usually get there early and set up my spot where I want it.  (Nothing upsets me more than when someone takes "my" spot, haha)

I also love Hot Yoga!  I never got to do it because the closest Sunstone was 15 minutes away and I just didn't have time.   I need to see if there is one close to my house now.

  • Tiff and Stephie, y'all are making me feel bad being so overachieving.

And whoa with the cute baby siggy. She is precious.

That's all I have to add to this thread.

Yeah, except... I wish I actually LOOKED like I was overachieving.  At least I'm healthy and in shape? lol

I think getting where you want to be - shape/health wise is hard, but I think maintaining it is super hard.

I want to try hot yoga, now.

  • Ugh, Tiff, me too!  I have to get to the gym over 30 minutes early because all the women set up for their friends who aren't even there yet!  It makes me so mad.  And I battle every day with one other girl for my "spot."  (I usually win though, heh.)

  • This week I am doing much better! Completed 2 days of my Week 4 C25K runs without much effort. I have been cooking healthy meals all week and my DH is actually enjoying the food :)  Need to lift weights tonight, I have been slacking on my weight lifting.

That baby picture is too cute!

  • Stephie - I hate that!   Our gym finally started hoarding the passes behind the counter so people could not sign their friends up (our classes max out every time).  I usually go set up my "spot" and go do a little warm up cardio for 20 minutes.

Lacey - Sunstone has an introductory 10 days for $10 deal so you could try it out.   That is what I did the first time...you should try it!

Oh awesome.  I think I will.  Do you have to be good at yoga?  I've only done beginner's yoga a couple of times.  I am by no means a pro.
