Finish the sentence. I don't understand......
....maternity underwear. They are so expensive. I just wore low cut undies when I was pregnant with DS and they worked fine.
.....bathroom reading. I just don't get it. Never have!
......people who buy huge cases of bottled water constantly. I want to tell them it would be so much cheaper to get a Brita or Pur faucet mounted filter!
Re: Finish the sentence. I don't understand......
-people who talk on their cell phone in the bathroom.
- how people can be pretty much sedentary, I would go crazy and my health would seriously suffer.
-Glee. I just don't understand the appeal. (Before I get stabbed via the Internet, I know there's lots of shows that I watch that others don't understand, ex- Bad Girls Club!)
-buying a dog. Especially since working at BARCS we've had pretty much every purebred dog walking through the doors. I really, really don't understand buying a mixed breed, mutts are running the shelters!
I had an old coworker who would always say, "I'm a dog snob; I would never adopt from a shelter. My dog needs to have papers." Meanwhile his $1500 dog with papers was constantly going to vet and had all kinds of health problems. Unfortunately some people just think that way.
You would understand if you had orange well water!
I don't understand...
...the appeal of fad jewelry like Pandora bracelets.
...the appeal of shows like American Idol and all the Real Housewives shows.
...why people call people several times a day for no reason (looking at you inlaws!).
...people who litter in parks.
...people who don't understand the leash law and/or cleaning up after their dog.
I don't understand why there are no recycling bins for plastic/glass in my office building, which is big.
Also, similarly, I don't understand why some people who have curbside single stream recycling at home still don't do it.
LOL good point. Or Shady Side well water. I used to work down there and it still smelled like rotten eggs after going through the filter.
the cult following Lost had.
people who wear high heel shoes everywhere and claim their feet don't hurt. Especially the women at my work conferences.
I don't understand why our neighbors are such douches, lol.
I don't understand people who eat out every single meal and never cook even the most basic things.
I dont understand the RH obsessions.
I don't understand why Stevie's new song has such awful lyrics.
Shady Side has some of the worst water around. I'm in Deale and we have a water softener (not sure how the couple before us survived without one) and have a deer park water dispenser. I never drink the tap water even with the softener. If we are running low on salt you can definitely tell!
LOL, when I worked retail I wore heels every day and ran up and down ladders, moved mannequins, carried huge boxes of clothes etc - and my feet only hurt after a 14 hour shift. When I wore sneakers to do store sets my feet killed me after an hour. Something about the heels I was wearing were super comfortable - they were all Loft shoes.
now Loft shoes are crap.
I usually have to wear some sort of a heel because flats kill my feet. I have to buy either Aerosoles or Clark's because anything else kills my feet. But I'm talking the stiletto - stripper shoe heels I see women wear to the mall and our receptions. I mean COME ON you know your feet hurt.
My IL's live in Hillsmere and while their water is clear, it smells like rotten eggs. My Mom lives in Shady Side (newer community) and hers is okay but my Dad's house in Riva is terrible. The water is loaded with iron and it turns all the appliances and white laundry orange.
...all the "talent" shows. Dancing with the Stars, Idol, The Voice, Top Chef, and all the others. Annoying.
...why anyone thinks that Donald Trump running for President is a good idea, and that they would vote for him. Just why?
...ABC canceling, All My Children, and One Life to Live. So so sad.
...Pioneer Woman (don't kill me). I like her, and I used to really like her blog, but her blog is really hard for me to follow anymore, way too much going on there, and I just don't get the whole book, movie, tv show thing. She is cute and all, but really?
....blogging in general. Does everyone need a blog to document their adventures in parenting/cooking (usually other peoples recipes)/building a house/being pregnant/planning a wedding, etc? Does this just seem really really exaggerated bc of being on the nest? IDK, bc it was also on the Today Show this morning.
...Twitter. I have an account, and I enjoy following some celebrities, but I really don't understand it. What half the tweets/abbreviations/symbols mean, or really even how to work it. Don't get it.
why people object to illegal immigrantion/immigrants. Its just natural for people to move and migrate. We were all immigrants once. If it was easier to migrate legally people would do that. (this isn't directed at anyone - I just always wonder why people are so bothered by this)
ETA -
and people who talk on their phones all the time, rehashing every detail of their day - even @ 7 am. Seriously. .. . WTF wants to talk on the phone @ 7? What is so pressing or interesting that it needs to be discussed this early in teh morning?
I don't understand why my neighbors never, ever have their dog on a leash and let him wander around aimlessly. I can't take Phoebe out when I need to because their unsocialized, unleashed dog + leashed Phoebe is not a good combo. I don't want to rat them out to our landlords b/c they kept threatening to not allow pets anymore b/c no one leashes or picks up their dog's poop.
I don't understand people who have no desire to travel or see/live anywhere other than their hometown.
I don't understand twitter.
(I've never really tried to though.)
I don't understand why when someone is pregnant it's suddenly acceptable to touch them inappropriately or make comments on their weight.
- why people gush excessively over other people's babies
- people who think that the person on the other end of their cell phone call wants to hear them peeing
- the shows like Real Housewives or Jersey Shore, The Hills, etc
- why people get plastic surgery on their faces that make them look worse than they did before
- people who own pets but aren't pet people

My parents in Edgewater have this problem too. Yuck.
I dont understand ...
-the way teenagers/college age kids (mainly girls) dress these days. To me, it just looks like the more random, mis-matched crap you pile on yourself, the more fashionable you are considered. I had to go to the mall on saturday night last weekend and it was like the crazier you looked, the better. I go out in jeans, sneakers and a hooded sweatshirt to run an errand and people were looking at me like I'm from another planet.
-Guys wearing skinny jeans. Enough said.
-parents who let their kids walk all over them-- speaking to them in a disrespectful way, making demands, etc I know a lot of that is just a phase teenagers go though, but sometimes i am just shocked at the things i hear come out of these kids mouths.
I'm sure i will have about 50 more as the day progresses....
I love her...but I agree that her blog is now hard to follow compared to the beginning. It's the new format or something. It used to be easier to find recipes and now I feel like she pushes Tasty Kitchen (reader submitted recipes) more than she does her own.
Totally agree. In no other situation is it appropriate for someone to touch your stomach, so why is this different??

I don't understand....
people who get pets and then ignore them, don't play with them, etc.
the appeal of Will Farrell, South Park, or The Simpsons.
people who can't be bothered to recycle.
the duck face teenagers and early-20-somethings always seem to be making in photos.
I will never understand...
Why people think it's perfectly ok to throw trash out of their car onto the street...
The lazy, I don't care about my health, mentality of some people...
Women who have babies just because it's the next "thing" to do...
Irresponsible dog owners...
I could go on, but I'll stop there!
HAve a great Friday ladies!
I hear that a lot! It's funny because pretty much anyone can get papers for their dogs. Bella, our rescued puppy mill dog that is not at all breed standard had papers haha.
Funny you all say this, I took her off my google reader last week, I was so over it!
I lost SoBoh's papers (since he was from a breeder.) I think I lost them the week we got him. H asked me recently where they were and i was like, ummmm............
when my parents rescued their older lab she came complete with all her papers (which was sad to me.) so tell your co-worker you can rescue a dog and it can still come with papers and from one of the premiere kennels in the country! (which she was.)
I'm glad I read her through Google Reader because it would be a pain to have to navigate that website. I probably wouldn't bother.
She did say that she was going to be backing off on her contributions to the site to focus on stuff in her home (I wonder how that's going to work with the new TV show?), with her family, etc. I know her Homeschooling section is made up mostly of contributions from other homeschoolers, and then of course the Tasty Kitchen posts in the cooking section and she even had a contributor or two for the photography section.
...Talent shows like Idol, DWTS, etc., and the people who are soooo into them.
...Why people think it's ok to drive the speed limit or 5mph over in the far left lane.
...People who drink more than 1 soda a day, every day.
I will never understand...
- The appeal of the Kardashians, RH of anything, most Bravo shows
- Jersey Shore. I had to write this separately bc that show makes me SO irate. I'll go be on MTV, act like a complete and utter moron if you want to pay me that much. But seriously, WTF kind of example are we setting? Hate doesn't begin to describe how I feel about that cast.
- People talking/texting while they drive. You are NOT invincible and you'll probably kill someone else before you get yourself hurt.
Someone's getting a little brother!
I don't understand:
most talks of politics. It isnt that I dont understand why people talk about it, I dont understand a lot of the rules/regulations/how things work. Therefore I just don't participate when these conversations start.
most talks of religions. For the same reasons above. I lead a very sheltered life growing up (apparently) and the family never talked about anything personal/controversial so now it is hard for me to do the same thing when older.
most of the "reality" shows. Or what constitutes a "star" or "celebrity" these days. I mean really, Snooki? Or Speidi? They are NOT stars! They are 'famous' for being paid to act like whatever they are doing is 'real life'. That is not real.
When I was pregnant and someone did that, I just gave them an uncertain look and would say, "ummm...I think you just touched me inappropriately"
