Re: Would you...
We rent right now, and if they wanted to do it on the home we rent and we wouldn't have to pay monthly - absolutely!
On a home we own, i'm not so sure. There's just something about owning a home and picking out paint colors, manicuring the lawn, planting greenery.... i'm looking forward to all those things, and I honestly can't say whether or not i'd give up that vision for a few months of free mortgage.

I'll preface with I didn't actually click on the link but I think I would if it was only for a year and they paid my mortgage. In the grand scheme of things one year is a very short time in your home but saving that money could make a huge difference. Put aside enough money out of your saved mortgage payments to have the side of the house repainted and viola!
I agree with Mel though in that I'd like to have some say as to what the advertisement is and would not want it if it involved certain companies.
It's totally tacky, and it probably would bring down property values on the homes surrounding yours. That said, as long as it was a company I had no problem with, I'm with Mel. I'd consider it for at least a few months. If we did that for just six months, we could save nearly $8,000. Oh the things we could do with that money right now.
We do belong to an HOA though, and I'm pretty sure this would be totally forbidden.
