Baby names - just for fun
We don't have many names on our "list" that are under serious consideration yet. I know we have some time and it will probably be a lot easier to come up with them once we know the sex in 5 weeks.
But for now, I'm bored, so let's talk about names;) What are some of your favorites?!
I really think we're having a girl so I keep leaning toward girls names that I like. So far Charlotte is one of my favorites, but I don't know if I'm 100% sold on it.

I love the name Charlotte.
We decided that we're going to keep our names ''top secret", so to speak, until the baby is born.
But we do have a list going already!
I like Charlotte, Rach. It sounds like a very "you" name -- classic and classy!
H and I are keeping our names secret too (though I think I've already leaked them on this board once or twice). However, I can tell you if it's a boy, his middle name will be William (after my dad), and if it's a girl, the middle name will be Noelle, just because I think it's pretty.
Heheheh

We just started thinking of names but won't really go all gung-ho until we know the sex. Right now, the only names we both like are:
Boys: Austin & Tyler
Girls: Annabelle & Hailey
Dx: Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism After 2 years TTC & failed IUs,we have our IVF baby born 9/24/11
LO#2 aka 'Miracle Baby' Orig. EDD= 9/28 EDD moved to 10/3/13

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." --Thomas A. Edison
I agree with Tara that Charlotte is a very "you" name, Rach.
Oh dear! I can't decide if we'll share the name with family. I guess we will, but I fear what MIL will have to say about it.

I think Charlotte fits you! It's a beautiful name.
I tend to like short names, so my faves for girls are: Lea and Kara. I don't like most boy names so my boy list is always changing, but right now I have: Grey and Marcus. Their middle names will be a Chinese name.
The boy name I like best (since I hate our last name and don't think many names go well with it) is Joshua Robert. Scott's pretty on board with that.
Girls are a lot trickier. I always liked the name Emily and Allison, but Scott is just kind of "eh" about each of those. He also refuses to acknowledge that there is even a chance that we woul dever have girls...
Corinne Emmanuelle for a girl.
I like quirky names as well as Irish names too. I love Linus, Eloise, Francesca and Margeaux. If we have two girls the second will be Saoirse Carys.

We like Declan (Irish-of course Josh loves it!) If I allowed it, he would name our son Jameson. I actually like the name, but being that it's his favorite drink and we have it all over the house, um that won't be happening!
<a href="http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/adia83/?action=view
I love it. It isn't overly popular either. Thankfully. I hope it doesn't start to get too trendy. I've had it picked for a few years now. Just not pg, and hopefully we have a boy when we do.

Really?! Uh oh, maybe we won't use it then. I don't like overly popular names!

Rach, I love Charlotte, and think it would be great. H isn't into it.
Boys names are pretty easy for us:
Anthony James
William Luke
Or some comination of those.
Girls are so hard for me! Claire is the only one we have come close to agreeing on, but I don't love it (and it is becoming more popular). I really like Maeve, but H is not into it. Also Hannah, sometimes Elizabeth.
I like really classic names, I guess!
I have a mental lists prepared. :-) Some favorites:
Girls- Audrey, Caroline, Charlotte, Natalie, Georgia- MN for a girl will probably either be Renee or Georgia, or Elizabeth is the first two don't go with chosen name
Boys- Owen, Garrett, Graham, Bryant -MN will probably be James, Philip, or Lawrence (all family names)
Boy: Liam Jack (middle name after my dad, first name a variation on William, FIL's name)
Girl: Olivia (no middle name picked out)
These are the only names we could agree on. I've always loved Emma, but B wants no part of it. Says it's too Jane Austen-y. Oh well.
I love your girls names! I really like Caroline but it's too similar to my dad's gf's name, Carolyn. My mother would DIE. (Dad cheated on mom with her) so yea, guess that's out!

I just realized I never listed the names I had.
We're set in stone on a girls middle name (Josephine) and a boys middle name (Paul). After Doug's grandmother and my grandfather.
Doug refuses to discuss baby names until we need to discuss them. But the 2 boy names I have are Zachary and Domenic (nicknamed, Nick).
Girls names are a little more difficult for me to decide on, it changes daily. The current list I have going is Olivia, Natalie (or Natalia), Lillianna, Kendall.
I like a lot of names that end in -an, -en, in-, -on, but they've all been vetoed because of our last name.
If we have 2 boys, I'm strongly considered either Philip Douglas or Douglas Philip after the 2 grandfathers.
