I really want to go see Britney in July!!
Re: SA Wednesday
I got to clean toilets this morning before work. DH tells me late last night that "oh hey, my boss is flying in from Ohio for the day and is coming by tomorrow to pick me up for a meeting, he mentioned wanting to see my home office set up."
So yeah, had to clean the guest bathroom, vacuum DH's office and make sure the living room/kitchen were clean before leaving for work.
Is your husband broken?
Every new episode of TV I have watched this week has sucked.
I think my husband is cheap and wasteful. A good deal of the time. He wanted to eat at home the other day. He used a pound of ground meat to make himself meatballs, ate about half but then threw the others out because I wasn't going to eat (I was sick and not very hungry) and he didn't want to put them in the fridge.
I'm a little annoyed with the DJ we're using for the prom. #1: we met for over an hour last night and, even though I've told him repeatedly that I'm not in charge of homecoming, he kept telling me that he really wanted to do our homecoming dance again this year, etc. #2: I told him flat out that I didn't want him to play "S&M" by Rhianna but he tells the girls "But it's the number one song in five categories right now". Um, no. "Sex in the air and I love the smell of it"? At a prom? Really? I don't know that I'll use him again next year.
No, he would just get busy and not clean and then his boss would be greeted with a stack of underwear on the couch. Haha.
My husband is the same way - his parents were here this weekend and we went out for lunch and dinner on Saturday and then were going to go for lunch on Sunday. He didn't want to spend the money to go out so he and his dad went to the store to get grill items - they spent $70 - way more than it would have been to eat at Chili's or something. Everyone ate and he threw the leftovers out.
I would be annoyed with that DJ too...so would a lot of parents. We know that irate parents are your favorite thing ever.
My grandmother managed to lock herself out of our guest bedroom. DH gave up trying to pick it and I was about to look for a locksmith when DH was able to do something to get it open.
A workmate pointed out that I leave my purse out on my counter and someone could easily take it...I've never given it a thought. I put my purse and the paper down, start my computer and get on with my day. I don't think it would be too bad if someone took it; they wouldn't get away with any cash because I don't carry it, my one and only bank card is in my pocket, my phone needs to be replaced anyways as does my license so they would kind of be doing me a favor.
This made me snicker this morning!
It hailed on me for the 2nd time in one week. Seriously, what's the deal? I haven't been caught in a hailstorm since 2005, or whenever that really bad one was.
I'm really not good at picking out home decor. I'm trying to pick out an area rug and I just have really no idea what will look good.
Tiffany - what colors are you using in the room you need an area rug in?
I am so looking forward to having a three day weekend.
Me, too. I get really stumped by rugs and curtains. I need curtains so badly, but I just get so overwhelmed.
I woke up to a flat tire this mornng.
I am sick of blowing my nose.
I hate my hair.
I haven't worked out in a week and feel like a huge giant slug.
I'm just generally out of sorts today.

Lacey - Erm... well it's our living room. We have dark brown/red-dish leather furniture with iron tables and glass tops. Fairly Dark wood floors and blinds. The rest of the room is white with a very dark burgundy accent wall (almost looks brown).
It all looks nice and coordinated right now, I think. The modern looking rugs would not fit the look, and the other rugs all look so ornate I'm just not sure. I bought a small dark red/tan/black ornate looking one and I think it coordinates okay, but I'm just not sure.
ETA: Sara - I don't even WANT to think about curtains. I've been looking for a shower curtain for the guest bathroom for 3 weeks now.
Tiffany - I'm with you, I have such a hard time with that kind of stuff. So naturally, I don't buy a rug. LOL I'd rather have a big empty floor, not really, but ya know!
Stephie - Oh no girl, today sounds like it should be your Monday. UGH! What's wrong with your hair? It looks gorgeous.
This. When we moved into our house I made DH splurge on the more expensive blinds because I knew I would never put up curtains and wanted them to at least look nice.
Well my fake hair looks ok. Mine, not so much. I'm sick of wearing extensions. The only thing I can do with mine is cut it short. I don't have a stylist I trust though so have put it off.

I bought a canvas painting that has red, blue, green and white in it. I hung it in the entry way. So, my entry way has a predominantly red rug, I'm working on adding blue accents to my living room and my kitchen walls and place mats are green. I'm trying to pull all of my colors from that one painting. You could do the same thing with your rug.
ETA: The rug you described sounds like it would coordinate. It has red - which is the main color in your living room. The other colors in the rug are neutrals, so they compliment the red.
We replaced the shower curtain in our master bathroom last summer after our renovations were complete. It was the first house "decor" item my DH and I agreed on!
Rugs are hard. I lived for two years in my sorority house that was full of ornate area rugs. Now I can't even look at them without associating the two so I just avoid them!
I was just thinking this morning that I want to cut my hair. I was thinking of the lob (long bob). My trusted hair lady works in Frisco, so that's probably too far for you, too.
Thanks Lacey. The one I found is actually at Ross (5x7 for 59.99, a steal!) so I may just buy it and take it home and try it. They have a matching runner and matching small rugs too, although I don't want to go overboard.
I can always take it back I guess.
Ah ok, I didn't realize. Hmmm, it is really hard to find a good hairstylist. Do you like your hair short or long? I love my hairstylist, she's in Arlington.
I was definitely out of sorts yesterday afternoon. I could have actually said "eff" to just about every person I came into contact with.
And my nose is actually so raw that it's peeling. Yay for Kleenex burn.
If you want to keep the same colors throughout your house, you could use the small rugs in the entry way or in the kitchen/bathroom. You could also pull one of the neutral colors out for your curtains. You probably shouldn't do red curtains. Or you could make your curtains a color that is nowhere else in your living room. It would be a pop of color. You could do blue. I would have to see it, but I would hesitate to do green, because red and green are Christmas colors.
That's funny y'all are wanting to cut your hair and I'm trying to grow mine out!
Me too! Although I desperately need a trim.
Well I like it long--but it won't grow anymore and it's really too thin to wear long anymore (without extensions). Thin hair runs in my family. Lucky me.

I totally thought this would happen to me last week after my cold, but somehow it didn't.
My niece (turned 2 in February) is the cutest thing ever. On Monday, my SIL called Courts and said that Isla told her to call Uncle Courts. Then, on the phone she said "Courts come play." So tonight we're going over to play. So. Darn. Cute.
They are cute. At Halloween, one of the little guys came to our door for candy, saw one of the kitties and decided he wanted to come into our house. It took Jackson's parents five minutes to pry him away from our house.
Is annoyed with a particular friend of mine right now. She complains about the same thing all. the. freakin. time.
I'm so tired of hearing about it. At this point, I'm hoping something else goes wrong in her life just so I can hear her complain about another problem.
I don't even know what to say anymore. One of these days I'm going to lose my patience and just say "Ok, you know this is the way it is. Accept it. Can we move past it?"
Stephie, I can't remember where you live but I looove my stylist at Northwest Highway and Skillman. On top of doing a good job on my hair, she always does a mini facial and face/head massage... heavenly.
You ladies with runny noses... put neosporin (the cream, not the ointment) on your nose before you go to bed. It makes a world of difference with the red/rawness! And I break out fairly easily, but it doesn't cause me any problems in that department.
I just went to the dermatologist, and a mole "worried her" so she biopsied it. I should have the results in a week, so I'd appreciate some T&Ps. I'm not to worried about it, but T&Ps never hurt, right?
I hope everything turns out well Angie. After my grandmother had the melanoma thing last year, she is checking everyone out when she sees a freckle/mole/what have you.
