Re: AW: BIG News!!!!

  • Thank you all so much for the Congrats!!!

Thanks for the tips about the prenatals.  I thought I was getting lucky with not really having morning sickness, but maybe it'll come when I start taking them.  Eeek.  And the book recommendation.  I have been wondering what books to choose, so I will definitely look into that one :)

All those things to look forward to that you all listed, like baby hiccups and the heart beat... Oh my gosh!  I can't wait for that!!!  So. Awesome. :)

  • Congrats!!!  That is such great news, I am so happy for you!  It is such an exciting time!  You'll feel super exhausted  for a bit, but it does get better, the energy comes back.  I second what JMUbride said about prenatals and the book-another book that I love is Baby411 (info about pregnancy but also babies-I'll probably go back to it often once the baby gets here).  Keep us updated :)

  • Congratulations!  This is a very exciting time!  I agree that telling immediate family will be ok, but it's a personal choice for everyone.  My rational was, if something were to happen, I would want our parents support.  We then told a few friends (over dinner because they caught on to me not drinking) around 7/8 weeks, and will go "public"  with work/facebook/whoever else we didn't feel needed to find out personally after our next appointment on May 4th when I'll be about 12.5 weeks.  I also have enjoyed the "What to Expect," but if your hubby is looking for anything to read, my husband has enjoyed reading "Dad's Pregnant Too."  He has had a few good laughs so far!  I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancyBig Smile
  • Thank you both very much!  I think we doing a similar tell everyone plan.  Just immediate family first.  Then, after my first or 2nd appointment, we'll feel like we can safely tell other people.  I will have to tell DH about the dad pregnancy book, he might get a kick out of that :)

Baby411 sounds like a good idea.  I'll investigate that book, too.  I finally got a good night of sleep last night, so hopefully I won't feel like curling up on my desk again at work today ;)
