Re: Thursday Chit Chat
Stupid tests.
I loved The Voice.
And I enjoyed staying up late last night just to read FB. Who knew that FB was so entertaining?
I met a girl in a class this semester and we realized we had multiple classes together and had a lot in common so we became fast friends. We study a lot, and talk/text a lot about personal stuff throughout the week. She's married too, so it's nice to have someone to relate to when most of the other girls studying for nursing are all younger.
Moving on. As the semester has progressed, either I've gotten to know her better or it's the stress of finals coming up, but the last few weeks I CANNOT stand her. And it's bumming me out because she's the only friend I've made at school and I was really liking her until recently. And I still have to put up with her for studying for finals.
But have you ever met one of those people who A). Complains about the same things all the time, and
. Blames everyone else for her problems? "Oh it's the teachers fault I'm failing, I'm so mad at them." I don't know why but that attitude gets under my skin like you wouldn't believe. Take responsibility for God's sake. And stop complaining about things you can't change! It's over. Let's move on, shall we?
*sigh*
::steps off soap box::
Summer,
I understand and I am one that complains about some of the same things repeatedly. And I have a dear friend who is quite a bit like your new friend.
@ Summer
I can relate to all of that, from becoming friends with someone then learning little nuances about their personality that irk me and also that type of personality being intolerable.
On another note since Wendi is going OOT I am going to skip my workout tomorrow morning and watch the royal wedding. I am excited and feel pathetic all at the same time.
Natalie - Yep! I hate that SO much. In fact, my dis-owned half sisters and brother are exactly that way. It's my Dad's fault they turned out sucky... despite the fact that they are well on their way to 40 years old..and it's still Daddy's fault? I think not. Um hello, get in the drivers seat and take control of your life!
ETA: I complain too, specifically about my job, but I know it's my own fault for not taking action.
Yay I am off the hook now
Ok - I think I missed something?
I normally get up at 5:20 to workout anyways so for me its only a few minutes earlier.
MrsLynch - just bought a bag last night... the last one and I'm so pumped. They're so good!
Summer - what a bummer about your friend. Hopefully, after the finals are over she will lighten back up. I have times with certain people that I get really annoyed with and it passes after a little while.
I can't wait to watch the Royal Wedding!! I've already got one channel DVR'd!!
Question - What is The Voice? I looked all over the TV channels last night and couldn't find anything. What am I missing?
Oh duh. Got it now. Anyway, I already have a cycle buddy - Sarah. :P
Yesterday on one of the other boards I lurk a girl's husband came on and posted that she was in the hospital being treated for stress caused by the pressure of trying and failing to get pregnant and the extreme social networking she had been doing associated with getting pregnant. She had suffered what sounded like a complete mental breakdown. Something was weird and off about the tone of the post and a lot of girls are questioning it now.
If it is true I feel for her a lot but if it is not then it is some of the most serious MUD I've ever seen.
Um, that's weird. Link???

This is a link to a thread posted on another board she frequented about it. The girls are talking about it in this thread, the original thread posted by her DH has been locked by the mod.
Woohoo! I feel special now! :-p
I am really sad that tonight is the last episode of the office with Steve Carrell :-(

Natural Cycle (8/7/13)- BFP! Beta #1 (9/10/13): 509 Progesterone: 18.64 Beta #2 (9/12/13): 1118
Some of you will probably think I am a jerk for saying this, but I am saying it anyway. My sister and I took my nephew to the neighborhood park yesterday after work. While there another family (mom, dad, child under 2) came and I noticed that the mom was pregnant again. And I mean PREGNANT, like could pop while at the park. I understand she is probably over being pregnant and over buying maternity clothes, but....at least a good 1/3 of the bottom of her bump (including "outie") was exposed by a too short shirt. Not the most appealing visual. Considering it was a little chilly yesterday, surely she could feel the draft.
I typed up a reply to summer about working out and hit post but its not here
. Basically I just said its not for everyone. I do it because I have trouble sleeping for 4-6 hours after working out and many times at night I cant get to the gym until 6-6:30. In NE I used to work 6:30am-3:30 and I would be home and showered from the gym by 5-5:30 and it was PERFECT.
Re: The Voice, its a new singing show where the celebrity coaches are turned around for the audition so its just about the voice and not appearance. If they like what they hear they hit a button and turn around. If more than one celeb likes them the control goes to the singer who chooses there coach because unlike Idol where the contestants are just judged on voice the celebs actually develop the singers. I LOVE it.
116?!?!?! Man, I went to bed too early and missed half of it.
Most people are saying that their DH's wouldn't know how to get to the boards much less know how to post, use the terms DH and Nestie and talk the gift exchange thing they have going on. They also thought it was fishy that he was able to go through and delete her "Nestie Friends" from Facebook. How did her DH know who was from the Nest and who wasn't?
Oh! It was a continuation of those comments from yesterday. Okay. Haha. I completely understand. I know, I was waiting for my mom to catch on to that conversation, so she can start harrassing me about kids, again. Lucky for me she's not quite that computer literate to find a thread that's not on my wall. I better still be your cycle buddy!!
