How long have you been at your current job? 8 years this past December

Do you see yourself retiring from there? Hell no!! I don't even know how I have lasted this long.

    Ditto this exactly!!!!

  • A little over 2 years

I'm not sure about that yet, depends on what happens after I get my RN degree & if I continue to work there.

(If you are a SAHM you can answer about your babies or your previous job)

Currently I am a SAHW.  But, I want to answer based on my past job.  My 1st real, I love this job, I was at for 3 years before I had to leave it.  We decided to follow DH's career path, and that required us to move.  If we had chosen mine I definitely saw myself retiring from there.

yes - i run my own business now so there's not really anywhere else to go.

  • It'll be 6 years in a month.

Definitely won't be staying here for too long.  If I can't SAH and they won't let me work part-time then I'll be looking for a new job after the little pumpkin arrives.

Do you see yourself retiring from there? I'm sure I'll start working again at some point in time, most likely just part time or a few hours here and there.  Who knows if it will be in my field or not.

Good luck! I hope the job market has improved when you finish. I absolutely love nursing.

  • How long have you been at your current job? unofficially sinc 1997, officially since 2002.  I started the week after i graduated HS as a temp/summer worker for data entry.  Then i went to college & got a job at one of the agents office for the same company.  I would come home and work here during spring break, xmas break & summers and the agent during college.  then after i graduated I got a full-time job there. When i was a temp, i wasn't considered a "real" employee, so that's why it's offically since 2002.

Do you see yourself retiring from there?  sure.  i work for a really great company that so i don't think i'd leave unless i was laid off or fired.  While i don't want to be doing the exact same job, i wouldn't mind working still for the same company.  We have a good retention rate, we have some employees who have been here 30+ years.

  • I've currently been a SAHM just over 3 yrs. We've discussed me returning to work, maybe PT after all the kids are back in school.  not sure what though...I have thought of maybe becoming a Professional Organizer, i could make my own hours & i'm the organizational geek!

Old Job: worked 7 1/2 yrs, i knew I'd leave when I became a mom, but if i didn't become a SAHM, no way would I have retired from there, I wanted out after 30 days!
