I didn't sleep very well last night and I don't know why. Bill kept telling me that I would sleep better if we went and worked out. Well, I proved him wrong. However, I did feel a little better for the rest of the day. Maybe the sleep will come later. Also, I had a migraine on Saturday and I burned Betty Crocker in effigy.

I woke up with a gigantic headache. I ate and took an extra strength Excedrin and it is still here 40 minutes later.
House related: We have water coming through the walls in our kitchen. DH fixed the roof Saturday night and we had a lot more roof shingles come off than we thought.
Grr to work drama.
Elephant in the room.
I'm as republican as they come in most instances, but this Osama Bin Laden thing is NOT a political fight. Obama didn't personally kill him, nor can he take all of the credit for what happened. On the same note, Bush can't either. However - it was a collective, NATIONAL initiative to take him down and the military deserves the credit, with nods to both Obama and Bush. It is maddening that this has turned into such a political thing. The heroes are, and always will be the military.

I concur. ...and while I am relieved that justice has been served, I'm really worried about the repurcussions of this action. I sincerely hope they quit bickering about politics and ensure that we are all protected at home and abroad.
Ugh... I have jury duty on Wednesday morning. FUN. NOT.
My DH and I took his old tahoe to work this morning and when I dropped him off the windshield wipers stopped working. Nice right, I had to drive to my job with no wipers. Not cool.
Michelle - I love your profile pic!
I agree with you Brianna and Tiffany I had the same worries when we heard about it last night.
Bio Good Times
Its cold and rainy and I feel like poo.
I went to sleep at 8pm last night only to wake up at 1am to be told about the whole Osama thing. I wont say much on this topic however I will say I just cant find it in my heart to be happy about it. A man is dead, a bad man yes, but still I do not think death is the answer and the war will still be going and our soliders will still die and Osamas death does not change that. My heart feels sad.
Flame away if you wish.

For conversation's sake... what outcome would you have liked to see from the 9/11 attacks? I'm with you on the "eye for eye makes everyone blind" thing to an extent, but what alternative would you have chosen?
Bio
Brianna and Tiffany, I do agree with you both.
AMEN to that!!
Me too. I cannot rejoice at a death. I feel relief and confidence that justice has been served, but your right. He was a sick man, and I doubt if he was even pulling the strings anymore. Someone else will rise in his place, if they haven't already.
He was one of a large army of men. Someone has and will rise to the power.

I usually sleep better when I work out but it doesn't take effect after 1 workout. Maybe give it a few days?
I dont know that I expected any different outcome however it doesnt make me proud or happy to see the F**k yeah Osama is dead type comments that I have. Dont get me wrong the people with those comments are not my close friends because I think that speaks to their immaturity because they dont see the bigger picture they just see a dead man and celebrate. Still that is the mentality of a lot of people so I guess that is wear my concern lies.
That makes sense. I was one that said "America, f yeah" because of Team America movie! I can see the sadness in a life lost, but I don't see a different alternative really. Even if he was brought here to serve in prison, someone would have killed him. It was a no win situation no matter which way it was handled.

It's a new month. Therefore, I am swamped today at work.
ETA: Brianna - I haven't heard much 'politically' regarding Osama's death. All I've heard is that he is dead and that it was by the Navy Seals. Are you upset that some people are calling Obama a hero? Not stirring the pot, just wondering what you have heard.
And on that note - I agree that it is not a political issue. Bush started the search for Osama and Obama continued it when he came into office. He could have been found when Bush was President and he could still not have been found through Obama's current term.
For the record I read yours and didnt think badly of it. You spoke of the military getting the win and it not being about politics which I agree with. I just have some very immature people on fb that I am not considering deleting because of it all. I agree I dont see a different outcome I am just choosing not to celebrate it either. It is what it is and I just hope that more lives are not lost because of all of this.
