  • AK - everyone and their grandmother has an opinion when you're pregnant. 1. I wouldn't have survived the third tri w/o chocolate, and I was pretty cautious w/my food choices (didn't do lunchmeat, didn't consume caffeinated sodas/coffee, etc) - the little bit of caffeine in chocolate is really no big deal. 2. I carried two freakin' oceans' worth of water in my ankles for literally half my pregnancy, and EVERYONE at work took it upon themselves to tell me how swollen they were (b/c apparently I wasn't aware?!). As irritating as it is, just ignore them - smile and keep your replies as short as possible, then walk away. It was the only tactic I found that saved me from biting people's heads off when I was at my most hormonal and crabby!

Everyone told me this before I was pregnant but apparently I had too much faith in humanity...lol. But you're right, I have mastered the art of one-word answers. "Wow, you're big!" I reply "Yep" and walk away, or just force a fake smile and walk away. I did snap a sarcastic "Gee, thanks!" at someone last week and then they went into this rant about how much they loved being pregnant so they didn't think that would offend me, making me feel like I'm a bad person for not loving being called huge.

I want to karate chop my brother's girlfriend in the face.

I'm sure the reasoning behind this is less-than-amusing, but it cracked me up.

  • Mine are all pregnancy related so please ignore if you don't want to hear them!

I'm SO uncomfortable right now.  I can't get comfortable at night.  My hips hurt.  My back hurts.  Every night when I get home from work I can barely walk.  I'm so thankful today was my last day of work.  Don't get me wrong, I'm so blessed to be pregnant and to have made it this much farther than I did with Aiden.  It's just really taking it's toll on my body right now!

MIL has been told five times she won't be at the hospital when I'm delivering.  She can't seem to understand that.  She also told me I can't have the baby on a Tuesday or Wednesday because she has to work.  I'm hoping the baby comes on a Monday night Surprise

DH and I still can't agree on a girl's name.  I have my favorite, and he has his, and they aren't the same.  I've asked Aiden his opinion, and he tells me he likes the boy's name the best.  That doesn't help!
