Brianna,
We were in bed by 9:30 Monday night and it was amazing. Last night, however, I couldn't get to sleep until midnight.
I wonder when it became okay for strangers to comment on other's spending habits. If I want to buy a purse made out of recycled aluminum cans that are only from 1974, only from a certain Coca Cola plant and I'm willing to pay eleventy billion dollars for it, what does it matter to you and why do you get to say something to me about it?
DH's car seems to have kicked the bucket.
We are taking it to get looked at this weekend, so if it's not too much, we will spend the money. But, it's a 1997 car. So... I think we need to bite the bullet and get him a new (new to us) car. Anyone drive an affordable car that they just love?
Julie - I agree with you. I work for my money, therefore I think it's only my business where I spend it. (and DH, of course). Plus, everyone is different. What matters to one person, may not matter to another.
I'm excited that we are going to a roughriders game tonight! :-)
Also, I was bored yesterday and read some of the stuff that people post on the Knot post secret. Some of that stuff is weird...

Oh, sorry about your car. That stinks.
I have an '08 Ford Explorer and LOVE it! I think all of the fords (cars, trucks, and suv's) since 08 have "Sync" and other really nice features. I never liked Fords, but when I went car shopping a few years ago I was really impressed and will definitely recommend them going forward.

I work for an organization that has camp ground and lakes, we have volunteers that live in our parks and in return give us 20 hours of work a week. We have two different ones that serve their time in our office answering phones. If they are suppose to be answering phones, please tell me why I have been answering the phones all week? And my phone is so staticy, I can't hear a word being said. So, I either have to walk out of my office to get the phone somewhere else, or answer and put the person on hold, then go somewhere else. AND there is another admin in the office, not sure why she can't answer the phone? When she knows its a personal call she is right on top of it. The other day, I was walking up the hallway, the phone was ringing, and as I walked by her desk, she was playing on her phone, I literly went to her desk to answer the phone, this all while our volunteer is suppose to be answering the phone. Oh excuse me, I forget, the volunteer was taking her 2nd smoke break in the two hours she had been here. Another day...I was on the phone, it rang 4 times and I had to put the person on hold to answer another line, while everyone else was at their desks. I mean really???
Ok...vent over.....
Leslie - I love the clickies... yay for visuals!
I'm a sharpie pen girl myself.

I have extensive experience in cars. Ha.
My current favorite affordable car is the new Hyundai Sonata or Kia Optima. I know that sounds funny, but I drive them both as rentals sometimes and the latest models are really sharp, get great gas mileage, and are smooth and comfortable.
My favorite SUV is the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Unfortunately, I don't think they are the most affordable, though.
I have a Ford Fiesta and I love it. Ford is trying out the idea of putting high end finishes and accessories into their lower priced cars with the Fiesta. It is funny because my friend got a new Lincoln SUV and I have 99% of the stuff she has. It also doesn't suck getting 40+ MPG.
The only problem with the Fiesta is that there isn't much of a backseat - it works for short trips but if you often have people in the backseat for long periods of time it is not so great.
This is going to be a problem for Lacey when she has all of her babies. :-)
Keep the recs coming Ladies, I'm making a list.
MrsLynch - I'm way too much of a big mouth to have not already said something. You have some serious patience.
Sync is my favorite thing about my car. Looking like a crazy person gesturing and talking to the speakers? Not so much, but it's so damn handy! I have completely stopped using my GPS and now exclusively use Sync Directions. My grandparents bought a GM with On-Star and are jealous we got Sync with no monthly fee.

LOL. Actually it makes it really easy to reach into the backseat and deal with kids. My neice was in her seat in my back seat and I could hand her stuff and mess with the dangly toys on her seat when she was crying by just putting my arm back.
Lacey = Fiesta = Babies = Win
I'm choosing my battles. Its easier this way. I just vent here. The other admin is a b and I just don't even want to listen to her.
Oh, snap. No more looking, Lacey, you need a Fiesta!
Ditto!

Holy cow, no you did not. That is one reason why it scares me to have a bachelor party so close to the wedding.
It was dead when I left for my meeting and then I come back and had to play catch up.
I drive a Sonata and I love it!
Briana, you never told the story but now you have to
Julie, I agree spend your money where you and DH want.
I cant beleive its only Wed it feels like such a long week. UGH
No, you didn't. Please do tell because we're going to need entertaining today.
When I took my Santa Fe in for the air conditioner breaking (after seven years), they let me drive a brand new Sonata. I have always driven a V6 or a V8 so I was very surprised that this car only comes with a four cylinder engine. I loved it!!!! However, when it comes time for us to get a new one, I think I'll have to get another Santa Fe. We need some room sometimes.
I also can't believe the...set a lady I work with has. She's coming to the prom to help with one of our students who has special needs. She sends me an email yesterday if she can bring her husband because they need a date night. No. #1: you're there for work, not a date night. #2: it costs the committee $45 for every chaperone and we haven't broken even yet. So, no, you can't have a date night on the high school's dime. Sorry.
LOL, um The Hangover?
PS I love my Jeep Patriot! It gets good gas mileage for a mid size SUV, has plenty of room in the back (hint hint), and is affordable!

I'm really tired of people dogging on Christina Aguilera and Khloe Kardashian about their weight and how Christina does not carry it well. If I had to be a Kardashian, it would be her. She is the only one I can stand.
There is a position in a great department but it pays quiet a bit less than what I'm doing now so I don't think I will be applying for it.
Lacey- I've only ever had a Honda Accord and I miss it terribly but when we were shopping for a new one a few years ago, I narrowed it down to the CRV and Chevy Equinox. We decided to stick with one car so we didn't buy anything.
