Possibly. There were lots of "Belles" running around after "Beauty and the Beast". Ariel too.
I'm so sad to see the name I have been wanting to use forever on this list. I wanted mine to be a little original and not have 25,000 kids turn around when I started shouting "Olivia".
Olivia is your girl name.... mine, too. They're really going to be confused when you babysit for me.

I thought so too, but Jacob has been #1 since 1998 and it was #2 in 1997. I wouldn't be surprised if it has been helped along by it though. Poor Edward didn't even crack the top 25.
I always find great pride in knowing at least one of my names (for boy or girl) isn't on the "top anything" list.

My brother's name is #895 most popular. I am in the 300s now after being at #10 the year I was born.
I played around with it a little because my dad said that I was born in the "J" era (Bill and I both have J first names). Jennifer was #1/#2 from 1974 until the late 80s. That's quite a reign.
Bella is also listed as #48. Twilight has a hold for sure.
No Hermione though - I guess HP gets the diss on this one.

I can't believe Elizabeth is still so popular for a first name. That's my middle name, and what DH wants to name a girl if we have one.
I said as long as we call her Ellie, because I think that's cute.

My boy name is in the top 20 but it's very common (James). We are using it because it has personal meaning for us.
My girl's name isn't on the list but the Middle name I want is. I just have to hope if we have a girl DH like the name I'm in love with! (McKinnley Grace)
I don't think my name has or ever will be in the top 20 names. I'm kinda glad my name is unqiue. Both first and middle are unique!
ETA: I get the same "this name isn't in the top 1000 names in the past 11 years" message when I put in McKinnley. DH won't like that because he is always worried that we won't be able to find something monogramed with the kids name. He made sure they spelt his daughter's name the correct way. His reasoning, "what if I want to buy her a keychain while on vacation and they don't have it because it's spelled funny". Just what every kid wants, 100 keychains from daddy's travels with your name on them!!
This is actually one of the few years that my name hasn't been in the top. It was really popular the year I was born and I went to school with a ton of Sarahs!
We actually went on a tour on our honeymoon and there were 2 other Sarahs on the bus with us. And this was in a group of like 12 people.

There were two other Lacey's (one was a Lacy) in my graduating class of 25 people. There was also another Laci two grades below me. Crazy.
My daughter's name isn't on there! And my boy name isn't either. Woo hoo!
