What I love most about being married...honestly...is that DH is mine. He fought a terrible battle with addiction and his selfishness as a result of those addictions led me away from him because he couldn't give our relationship what it deserved. He and I being married is a testament to where he is now in his sobriety and...I finally get him. I get the him I always knew was there. I get the him that was finally ready to give himself to me over his addiction.
What I like the least...DH isn't as ooey gooey romantic as I always thought he was and I'm starting to figure that out. There are those days when I want to be swept off my feet, kissed passionately and just wrapped up in his arms and all he wants to do is lick my face and far as we're kissing. He doesn't know it, but sometimes it really enrages me that I can't just get a serious moment from him unless sex is the end result...sometimes I just need "a moment", you know?

Yes yes yes! Paula when is the baby due? I can't remember! DH and I are actually coming to Florida this year once if not twice by December's end - we're hoping to get to Orlando but we're definitely going to Palm Beach to help out his Aunt with some work. She's allowing me to use her car and work while I'm there if I wanted to. Do you know how to reach me for talk formalities?
On a side note, I'm TOTALLY amazed and honored and totally blushing that two of you have asked me for pictures. Like...honestly...I totally didn't expect that! Thank you so much!

The baby is due Oct 9th
I want to do newborn, 3 month, 6 month and 1 year pics and then combine them all together in a photo book after the baby's 1st bday party. Palm Beach and Orlando are a little far from Tallahassee though 
Jeni this is SO my H. He is never gooey romantic. I can count on one hand how many times he has been romantic. I used to HATE it, however I have come to love all his joking and goofy faces and the way he picks on me all the time. I tend to be in a cranky mood a lot or I have a bad day and he is amazing at cheering me up
Okay drop me an e-mail at info@jenifriendphotography.com and we can chat some more about this so I'm not vendor posting on here...I don't want to get in trouble! And I just realized that it's not Orlando that we'd be heading, it's Winter Garden - does that make a difference?

Hands down...Ireland. DH and I are full-blooded Irish and have a lot of direct family history to the country. At one point we seriously considered selling all of our assets and moving there and just living off the land. It would mean the world to us to be able to spend some serious time there...perhaps a month...and just revel in everything the country has to offer.

I feel you!! I have to remind H sometimes that "I just want to cuddle" or hold hands, or whatever :-) Needing moments of closeness don't always mean that I want to do the "deed" at the end...how very true - you're not alone in this one, chica!!!
I feel this way too!! Especially since I see DH maybe 2 hours a week! It's so hard to just say hi and then have him wanting to rip my clothes off! Can I please just talk to you and then follow that up with me passing out in your arms?

Currently it's this fresh vegetable medly the DH and I have been making. It consists of fresh broccoli, carrots, zucchini, squash and sweet potatoes, all cut up and covered in EVOO and garlic salt and baked at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15-20 minutes. It's so good I crave it mid-day several times a week!

Amanda I absolutely adore Boston - DH has a few choice words about the Red Sox, seeming he's a born and raised NY'er, but any opportunity I get to make it to Quincy Market I take! I'll keep you posted on when we are up that way!
You ask a really good question - I was a dancer all of my life. Looking back in hindsight I realize that I took to taking pictures of a lot of things and people and places, but my heart was really invested in dancing. After college, my body gave out on me...I just got older and as a result I wasn't prime dancing real estate. My niece was born in December 2006 and I found myself wanting to take pictures of her everytime I saw her. I didn't want to forget a single moment of her life and so I started taking pictures. I realized then that I didn't want anyone to forget the moments and so I started doing my research and teaching myself the semantics of photography.

Linds you are too much - I'm totally doing 3 different posts
From what I understand, DH proposed on the wrong day. He was supposed to propose on August 8th immediately before my cousin's birthday party when all of the family was in one place...in front of everybody...I'm so happy he didn't. On August 7th I had been gone all day and returned home to us heading over to another cousin's going away party (he was being deployed - just returned home to us last night!). We got home from the party rather late and I'm guessing he couldn't wait any longer. He told me to sit down in one our dining room chairs and not move - mind you I really had no idea...we'd only been dating 1.5 months...I knew eventually it would happen but I didn't think it would happen so soon - he came around the corner into the dining room holding the box out for me to see and immediately got down on one knee. I began to bawl and in the midst of my cries I heard him say, "Jeni I've loved you since I was 16 years old. You were the first girl I ever loved and I want you to be my last. Will you marry me?" Tears streamed down both of our faces and I opened the box to reveal...not a damn thing. I looked up at him confused and he said "Psyche!" and turned his hand over to reveal the most beautiful ring ever resting on his pinky finger.
*sigh - be right back as I go make out with DH - I think I just fell in love all over again*

While I love all the sessions I work, equally, I have a special affection for babies. Maybe it's the wannabe Mommy in me, but everything about babies and cute infants and toddlers just makes me swoon.
