So it's Monday, I'm cranky, two weeks of jeans are over, a student parked in the teacher lot, and did I mention I'm cranky? And how can you forget to bring something to school to write with every day for the past week? We still have three weeks to go before finals.

I haven't allowed extra credit for flashcards to students all year if they are just on little bits of scrap paper. In fact, I haven't let them do it since I started teaching. Why did one of my kids think that they would be the exception to the rule today?
I need a weekend to recover from this weekend but then I'll need a week to recover from this coming weekend so I'm screwed for awhile. Which means 5 days 'til our visit. Dun dun.
Saturday I worked out and it wasn't much different than what I normally do but I am sore as heck. I can barely move my bottom half. And I didn't even get to finish the entire video because I had to go get ready for a party.
I woke up yelling in pain Saturday night from a Charley Horse. It hurt like a mofo and it is still with me, although not as bad this morning.
I have not been able to sleep very well since Friday; I'm constantly turning and waking up. Plus I have not been able to cool down in our room at night. I have the ceiling fan on, an oscillating fan and turned the ac down to 75 and I still was burning up without any covers.

B&M's: I had to get a new phone this weekend, my home button on my iPhone stopped working. Luckily I was able to back it up on my computer and restore the new phone. Also thank God for the Apple store - I walked in handed them my broken phone and they handed me a new one - no questions asked.
It's finals week. Lame.
For some reason the signs about the world ending on May 21st have me unsettled. After investigating the groups claims they don't seem to hold water, but I am a worrier by nature. My DH thinks it is funny since it is his birthday.
I had to get another tire last week. As in replacing the one the dealer just replaced three weeks ago. I ran over a reflector in the road and it ripped my tire. WTF, right?
Mother's Day is so bittersweet for me. I enjoy the time with my mother but it just brings home the fact that my grandmother is a childless mother now. She takes it really hard and as the only child of her only child I really don't know how to make it better.
Things that are not B&Ms that I just want to share:
(AW) I am so damn proud of myself for running a 5k. I know you guys have heard it from me a thousand times, but I really didn't believe I would ever be able to do it.
My DH has requested an ice cream cake for his birthday. I need to figure out the logistics of ice cream cake for 45 people.

Apparently, mind reading was a pre-qualification for my job. I obviously didn't get the subliminal memo and should now be dragged and beaten.
Not that she looks ancient or anything, but I am seriously shocked that Chelsea McGowan is younger than me. Maybe it's the kids?
ETA: I think it is actually that she is so established at 25, I really respect that.
May 21st...? I haven't heard about that.
I'm with you though - I don't buy into that kind of stuff (Hello, 2012), but I still get unsettled and worried.

Haha, this was going to be my flame last week but I forgot. I was shocked as well.
Sounds like most everyone is having a crappy Monday.
Sat we helped MIL and SIL move into their apartment and I was thankful they had all the boxes moved by the time we got there so only big stuff was left. That said, they didnt want to spend money on a uhaul so we only had a friends trailer for a few hours and they didnt really help us move anything. I get that they had been moving all morning and it was all large stuff but this was their move and if I can help carry the big stuff so can they.
Sunday was amazing and overall I am in a good mood so I cant complain much.
Supposedly 5/21 is the second coming of Christ and October 11 is the end of the world. Article here if interested, with a funny STD picture.

*I'm tired today. I don't feel like I got enough rest this weekend. It was a pretty good weekend overall, but last night was blah. I miss my mom and can't wait to go see her in a few weeks.
This weekend was pretty busy and now I am really tired :-(
I don't know how I managed to go for a week in St Lucia and hardly get burned, but I stood outside yesterday for 45 minutes and got burned on my shoulders :-(

Yep, May 21st is our anniversary. That should be a fun way to spend it, right? Haha.
I don't believe any of that stuff. Call me crazy, but I do kinda believe all of this funky weather across the world in recent years may be a sign of things to come, though.
I hadn't heard anything about the end of the world being May 21st, either.
Guess it's not a big deal if I fail all my finals, then! Woohoo.

I just read that article about May 21st and I find the whole thing creepy.
I also want to B&M about this new steroid nose spray for allergies that my doctor put me on last week. It makes me have this gross taste in the back of my throat, and water tastes yucky.
I hate them as well. They caused me to gag when I was on them.
That is ridiculous on every level Lauren. Is his dad okay though?
Is it Asterpro? (sp?) If so, yeah that one is yucky. I use it, but I use way less than directed so it doesn't go down my throat. If you tilt your head forward slightly, it helps.
Omnaris, I tell you. It's the best. It is a very fine mist and you don't even feel it. Stupid expensive though, so ask for a sample.
