Baby Rant and Poll
So, I just got back from my vacation to Disney yesterday, and I must
say I was over-all appalled at the families with young children. I saw
mothers looking like hoochie-mamas, parents who ignored their
children, and school-age kids in strollers with pacifiers.
What annoyed me the most was when we were on the airplane. When we got
on, a man walked to the stewardess near us, and asked if the plane was
full, because he wanted to know if he, his wife and "baby" could move
into the row behind us. The row behind us has three seats, and they
had only bought two seats, since we all know "baby" sitting on mom's
lap is free.
However, the plane was full, and they were stuck with their two seats.
The "baby" was quite clearly 2-3 years old. He was walking, talking,
and physically big. Big enough that I would not want him on my lap for
an hour. I'm sorry, but I think that was very shady. According to the
airline's website, only infants are allowed to bypass getting their
own ticket/seat. I don't think this kid was an infant or a baby. I
work in a daycare, and he was more advanced than the two year olds I
work with. I understand flight prices are high, but still, does this
rub any of you wrong or is it just me?
Plus, they were on the same connecting flight we were on, and did the
same thing again. They bought 2 seats, but tried to get a third seat
for their son for free.

I thought it was the same person, but: her's is ONU (letter O), where this is the #0 (zero), and this account was made Friday, and hers is still active......
But really, do we have to be mean about her weight? I'm trying to lose weight, I hate the weight I'm at, and it's a struggle (I'm sure there's a few of you Nesties out there that have been/are in the same situation), so even though you're making fun of only her, it's offensive for us that are in the same position (being a bit overweight). I don't care how much you are upset w/this gal, the weight thing isn't cool.
ONE person did this... and it wasn't me. WE aren't doing anything. For all I know it is someone from another board that did this and not a Detroit Nestie regular. I dropped this with her last week. For all I know, she did this to herself in order to get people mad at me/us. Who knows.
I struggle with weight and really had no issues with anything said. I think this AE's ticker is more offensive to people with weight struggles than whatever comment hurt your feelings. Please don't try speak for all the fatties of the world.

Exactly. She is most definitely a troll. Which is why I say her ticker saying she is trying to shed 850 lbs is more of a joke than anything anyone said. She is the one poking fun at weight problems, not anyone else.

WE didn't do this and if you are going to get on the internet and take low blows at someone you have to expect to get them back (whether it is right or not).
i think everyone would agree that this is a VERY supportive board with quite a few people who are trying to lose weight (me included) so i didn't take any offense to it.
