I have gotten friend requests from friend's unborn children on FB, and then they turn that account into a blog of sorts to post U/S pics and updates about the baby throught the pregnancy and after birth.
I have also seen people change their profile pic to an u/s pic or some baby related items to announce their pregnancy.
We still haven't announced ours yet, and I don't plan to do either of these but I think DH want to do a big reveal.. we will see what happens.
Somehow though, I think we are already found out bc that's what everyone seems to talk to us about lately or we just paranoid...

Well, my mom loves to scrapbook so I've thought of getting her some grandmother-related stickers or paper. Or getting my niece a cousin t-shirt. Or planning to announce it around a holiday and wearing a shirt related to being pregnant (like something about a lucky charm for St. Patty's day or something). But then again, I might not be able to contain myself, and I might end up just randomly blurting it out.
Have you ever heard of the cobbler's kids having no shoes? Yeah, those are my kids. They will probably be the ones with the last minute Walmart birthday cakes...."Sorry Honey, they were out of Spiderman, but Barbie cupcakes are just as awesome, right???!"
Yes Anna - I'd like to hear them too unless they are under lock and key until the big announcement.
Anna, the holiday thing is pretty cute.. I am expecting a Thanksgiving weekend baby as are a lot of the other NOV 2011 Bump ladies and a lot of them posted / or announced theirs by saying they already had their Thanksgiving Turkey in the oven.

I just realized you and my cousin are due just a week apart. I kind of felt bad for her - her family posted about her pregnancy on FB before she even got home from the confirmation appointment.
Yeah, my mom would so do something like that. I'll probably have to tell her last before announcing it on FB.
That's a bummer about your cousin...
We made our families swear they will keep it a secret, but there are WAY too many people asking DH and I about babies in the past couple of weeks and I wonder why that is ......

Maybe they just think/know you're trying? Or maybe your families let that bit slip? I do that sometimes - if there's a secret I just can't contain, I won't spill the secret, but I'll mention something related to it to take a little pressure off. Then I'm not about to burst, but I haven't given up the secret either

I'm pretty sure I swallowed whatever they "packed" in one of the holes in my mouth from getting dry sockets...I don't see it in there anymore.
This made me laugh out loud.
Very exciting because they are both within 10 min of my house.. but I can only imagine the lines they are going to have when they first open... like Sprinkles cupcakes a few years ago...

Kathy - Yeah, definitely. The last time I went to one was in San Francisco and it wasn't even a new location. We waited in a line out the door and wrapped around the building and there was no place to sit. I can only imagine what it will be like here for several weeks.
Yay! I'm excited to try the one in Frisco! :-)
There were terrible lines when the Dairy Queen in Frisco opened. It was ridiculous!

I'm just jealous that you guys get to go out sometimes for lunch. There is nothing more depressing than sitting in our teacher's lounge. We used to not go down there but we were tired of someone in our dept. coming in and causing drama at lunch. So now, we go down for sanity but it's still a depressing little area.

Totally late to the party, but a couple I'm friends with had some pro pictures done by their wedding photog when they were ready to announce their pregnancy, and they were holding signs that said "We're having a baby", in a really cute way. And when they made the announcement on FB, she put that as her profile pic.
I think that's a cute idea.
I'm the only one I think that has no interest in In-N-Out.
ETA: Oh, and on the whole not being able to keep a secret thing, I'm bad at that too. But when it comes to getting pregnant, I will have no problems. I know to many people who have gotten pregnant and told family right away, only to have a miscarriage before the first tri is over. I'm not risking that. 3 months for us, before anyone knows. Except maybe my nestie friends
I don't either but partly because there isn't one really close. If we happen to try one, we do but I'm not waiting in no dang line.
I'm just not a huge fast-food fan. To me, *I know I'm about to get my head bitten off for this*, but a hamburger is a hamburger.
I'm late to the game but here's my B&M for the day:
My feet are covered not only in ant bites but also blisters. Three miles into my six mile run yesterday, I stepped in an enormous ant pile and didn't know it until I felt the ants physically biting me. How did they latch on so quickly???? Perhaps I'm just a slow runner lately.
This is kinbd of random and WR, but I know some of you are bored at your 9-5 today. I'm nearly done with my parent album, and I'd love some feedback. We're supposed to get an In N Out in Garland by Firewheel. Ben ate at one in CA and wasn't impressed but I'm sure we'll try it out at some point.
