CHICKEN BUTT!
Oh wait! Congrats!
How exciting!! Congratulations and I can't wait to see pictures!!
Best of luck to you! Enjoy that dinner...my dr's manager told me to have a huge meal at 11PM since I couldn't eat after midnight LOL. Mine was first thing in the morning and although I didn't sleep really, it was a great experience.
Can't wait to see pics of the baby!
My doctor has been saying this entire pregnancy that she thought Baby H was a big baby. I went for my 40 week checkup on Monday and my blood pressure was really high 150/100. They took the other arm and it was 140/100. After lying down for close to 10 minutes, my BP only dropped to130/90. I didn't have any signs of pre-eclampsia (I was tested the week previously) and my urine did not contain any traces of protein. My swelling was okay that day. They tested my blood and told me to come back on Tuesday for a full ultrasound and we would make a plan.
When I went in today, the ultrasound showed an estimated size of 9lbs 10oz! Yes, I know they are only estimates but that's a HUGE one! We are sure he's going to be at least 8lbs. Also, every week my there was no thinning or dilation of my cervix. Although Baby H had been in position since 32 weeks, he never engaged in my pelvis. Our belief is it's due to his size. Because I have had no progress, the doctor felt like an induction would have an 80 percent chance of failure. My biggest fear has been pitocin -- especially if it doesn't work! If I waited another week, they would be worried about my blood pressure skyrocketing. My fluid levels are also really low... and every day we wait, the bigger he gets.
So c-section it is!!
It's 3 AM, I can't sleep anymore and I'm starving/thirsty already. Joy! lol. I'm jealous of DH who is passed out cold in the bedroom.
